Do you prefer racing against cops? What type of cars do you prefer to race in a video game? Do you want to race a million dollar car or a Honda Civic with low body kit?
As for me I prefer racing against cops because its something i can not do in real life. I would like to hop on a Ferrari Enzo and go on hot pursuit chase but lets face it I don't have million dollars to buy the car and i dont want to go to jail. lol So video games are a good way to satisfy our desires, but EA and the developers who come up with the ideas for NFS are starting to loose it. I do not know how much success their NFS Pro Street or NFS Shift were but i found those games bloody boring. I rather get punch in the face than play those games.
I seen the NFS series degrade with time, I believe many of you can agree with that. We can blame the Fast and Furious movie for that which inspire them to put this import cars that can be modded ridiculously. The older versions of NFS were seen as racing exotic cars, the type you cant really afford to drive in real life. Well the latest version of NFS Shift doesn't have cops and its why i didnt buy it. Its just boring to race without any good challenge besides being number 1. I am writing this here in the hopes perhaps an employee can read this and see how it has disappointed some of its fans. Back when EA came up with NFS Underground i swore i would never buy another NFS game but they got me when they released NFS MW which was awesome but lacked many features that older games such as NFS 3, NFS High Stakes and Porsche Unleashed had. Then NFS Carbon was a let done with bad storyline, the canyon duels were boring as hell who ever came up with that idea to put it there should be fired, i gave up on that game after playing it for 4 hours, thankfully i rented the game so no big lose in money with that.
TL;DR version:
Latest NFS games arent that good. They lack qualities older games had and they should be brought back. There should be a remake of NFS High Stakes. You know a game where you could be the cop, have dashboard view, cops that dont just knock you off the road how about some that throw fire barrels like in NFS HP2 lol Or how about having cops shoot at you? I would like to have a game where you get shot at when racing, have bullet holes on car. Then when car breaks down you should be able to get out and make a run for it. HELP ME FULFILL MY FANTASY!!!!
I miss NFS 3 HP
I miss NFS HS
The damage effects were even better in 1999 than nowadays that we have graphics cards with Dx11....

We share the same sentiments. Cop chases was my favorite part in the old games. A lot of fun dodging roadblocks and stingers. Most Wanted cop chases I think were the best.

I'm not sure. Depends what kind of race.
If I am doing a delivery race where your damage is limited and recorded, than no. Just normal circuit races, and sprints, I don't mind them, but I wish they didn't go as aggressive as they do, and I wish they would also go after the other racers, so it makes it fair.
And a Honda Civic? I'd rather drive a Pruis, or that million dollar car, it's nicer than my little 530i.

And, Yeah, I would like to see a sequel to Most Wanted, something new like Undercover, where the storyline starts with you beating razor on the old track, then you have to challenge Bull and everyone who is trying to beat you to get number one on the blacklist. And you kind of act like Rog and Mia, letting new blacklist racers know about what's going on. The storyline for carbon was confusing and lame, but I did like the idea of the crew and claiming races and territory. And I thought the canyon races were easy as long as you kept a steady drift through the curves. The storyline for Undercover was a complete joke, and, hell, Shift didn't even have a storyline! Nitro just looks horrible, and it's for wii, I have one but i'm not gonna waste my money on that!

And what happened to cockpit view from Most Wanted through Undercover? They had it in the old games, and then brought it back with Shift?
Am I missing something?

I like to just race with no cops. As for what type of car i'd want to drive definetely a fast, expensive car like a SSC Ultimate Aero or how about the new koenigsegg agera.
As for what u said about the cockpit view i feel u, I missed it also I don't have shift cuz I have a ps2. but in the thread in feedback for ideas for next NFS game i said i wanted the cockpit view back, so we'll see if it happens.

Yeah older games were better Cop chases are really fun, I think if they were to create a Burnout version with cops they had in NFS MW/NFS HP 2 it would be good. Like having helicopter throw random barrels was cool but i would expect missiles this time, you know add something crazy for once! Also one thing i began to hate in the series is that they limit garage size, why cant we own all cars at same time and modify them all? They gotta limit us to 30 cars in garage or so. I just wish i had the talent and skills then i would make my own game. Programming and graphic design is not my strongest field. Only option left is to come to EA forums and give em a piece of my mind and tell them why they are loosing 50 dollars from me each time they come up with new game cuz im not buying them unless they start making a good one.

Yeah those delivery races were tough, i suppose those would be bad lol I like circuit races and sprints they should do them at random settings, not just city wise. like in old versions of NFS they had you go through forests, road next to canyon (but no freaking canyon duels i hate those), etc. they should make cops go after other racers i do agree on that. As for the honda civic thing well i really hate imports, i want exotic cars that was the main idea in NFS on older versions.

I think they just need to create a new storyline, but IMO they should add option of whether to see story or not. I hate their storylines, just give me objectives list to accomplish and that be enough for me. Like take several amount of racers when being cop or escape cops within certain time, or be number 1 in race even if you race agaisnt 8 cars and cops. You know stuff like that.
A MW 2 sequel should be made i do agree, maybe next time they make it they can add dashboard cam, larger garage, be the cop option, helicopters that shoot at you or something. you know something to spice it up. Its a fantasy game after all.

really they have it in Shift? i only played their PSP version which sucks. they stop having dashboard camera after NFS Porsche Unleashed that was the last one that had it. The ones that came after NFS HP2, NFS U, NFS U2, NFS MW, NFS Carbon, NFS Undercover, NFS ProStreet, all of those didnt have dashboard camera. So its good to hear they brought it back in Shift. But Shift is boring without cops. No cops to spin you around, and complicate races is no fun, i dont wanna race in circles if i wanted to do that i'll get a nascar game or something.

yeah i want to race the SSC Ultimate Aero they need to add it there. Or how about they make it easier for custom made cars to be added to NFS, like currently people find ways to make them compatible and then we can add custom cars for the PC version. Thats what made the old versions awesome because such large community out there cracked the game, made awesome car models that are like 15k polygons, compared to the 4k poly default ones game came with. Its just insane how much talent there is out there and how it makes games great. I believe someone even made a dashboard addon for NFS HP2, its been awhile since i last looked at it. So yeah if a random user can created content for this commercial games then surely EA can add this features.

My DREAM NFS eh?
well my first one was NFS2, that was the one without any cops. so no, i dont want to race with cops, they get in the way, and they spoil the fun, they trash the car as well. a lot of the classic NFS games gave you the option to turn of the cops, i always turned them off, so my dream NFS does not feaure them. nor traffic. its legal road racing, think isle of man tt but with showroom cars.
there is NO TUNING! a "showroom" car is more challenging to drive, and is more fun.
the shift in car view returns, but without the speed blur.
there is no free roam, instead the game has over 100 tracks, the shortest "fall winds" (an upgraded, longer, circuit version of the HP2 track) clocking in at 10 miles a lap, and the longest "Americas Coastline" coming in at about 6000 miles (you can save mid race using gas stations!), all are circuits, i dont get on with P2P. There is full real time day night on the longest tracks, the weather however is always sunny. all will be in Gorgoeous RURAL environments of forests, lakes, mountains, and streams, with cities and townships only making a small part of the longest courses, and even then the tracks will only visit the affluent parts of towns, no rough hoods here. naturally they are from all over the world, from the corniche of monte carlo, to the australian outback, and from the lakes of italy, to the american midwest, from the stunning forests of germany, to the picturesque beauty of the yorkshire dales. if its rural and beautiful, and has some killer driving roads, its here.
the music would be chilled trance from the likes of rom di prisko, and of course, saki kaskas.
callista, by saki kaskas would be the theme tune.
the game would feature the retun of the showroom mode, with a proper high class showroom background, the long car descriptions with the deep voice-over) and the videos of the real car in action.
if you win you once again get the classic call "CONGRATUALATIONS! you won the race!" fail, and you get "never mind, try again!". more freindly than the street calls and death threats of the later games no? come on, NFS is supposed to be played by kids as well as adults!
the car list would contain about 500 cars, and would be a mix of vehicle types, starting with hot hatchbacks (min 200 hp) such as the Volkswagen golf gti mk6, leading you to classic '60s and '70s american muscle such as the Chevrolet Chevelle SS454 LS6 , powerfull european grand tourers from the 1930's till today such as the 1929 Bentley 4.5 Drophead with Blower and the 2009 Aston Martin DB-9, sports cars and roadsters such as the Porsche Cayman S and the Lamborghini Gallardo Lp560-4 Spyder, to modern muscle such as the 2010 Ford Mustang Shelby gt-500, a plethera of supercars from there birth in the 50s, with such cars as the 1954 Mercedes benz sl Gullwing, to the 60s classics like the Lamborghini Miura lp400 SV, the agression of the 80s, with machines like the wild 1986 Ferrari 512 Testa-rossa, and then the latest machines of today, such as the new Mclaren Mp-4-12-c. and finally, the fastest production cars on earth, such as the 1993 Mclaren F1, the 2006 Bugatti Eb-16/4 Veyron, the SSC Ultimate Aero Twin turbo, and the new THREE HUNDRED MILE PER HOUR! (good gravy!) 2012 Melling FIRECAT supercar.
this gives a massive speed difference, at the slowest is the 120 MPH+ of the classic muscle cars, all the way to 300 MPH in the fastest hypercar. of course, asian cars still play a part with suprisingly desirable JDM classics as the last of the line Mazda RX7 spirit RA (301 hp from 1300CC? wow!), the Toyota Supra twin Turbo 320, the 94 Honda Nsx type R, and a plethora of Nissan GTR-s , all running with the 155 speed limiters removed, letting them run to the full 170+.
even our own car would be in there, the mazda 6 MPS.
as i said, all the cars are "showroom", they are stock, there are no tuned up cars. they are as they were when they elft the factory, and they stay that way, as with the ps1 need for speeds.
as for getting the cars, well, i dont understand money very well, so there is no monetary system, instead you start with the 1995 Ford Escort Rs Cosworth (hot hatch), the 1970 Chevrolet SS 454 LS6 (Classic Muscle) , and a Porsche cayman S (sports car) you get extra cars by winning tournaments, and earning enough Club points wich are won by "gentlemanly driving" such as overtaking without contact, finishing in the top three, (always 7 other cars on grid) beating the course record. and stylish yet safe driving, suh as jumps and powerslides that end clean. in short the cleaner you race, the more points you get, the quicker you unlock the exotics.
there would be avatar customiseation, male and female, with a collection of designer smart casual, suits, ties, tuxedos, evening dresses (girls) all the expensive and glamourous gear to go with the expensive cars.
as for multiplayer, its basic. you can race online, but only against people on youre "Freinds" list, no strangers can enter youre game, so you know no loudmouth bullying cheat is going to wreck youre party, i want this game to maintain the feel of a "gentleman drivers club" in all modes.
