How do i get better play to player matches in EAHL? I am sick of playing people that have played 200 game when i only played 10... I am at a point where I am going to trade this game in for the lack of player to player matching. It not a level playing field when your player is on 69 and you have to play people that are 80.

EASHL progression issues, just like quite a few others here. Stuck on Pro 3, at 88% for almost 20 games. I've tried deleting files but no dice. A little help please, EA??

My won just playoff game with one team and it didn't count. Have you ever face this kind of thing. I don't know they club name or anything but we won 3-2 and I have gamertags of other team players. Can anybody say if this is happening often of was this one time thing? Game went to final and all the stats and things came but no result. It's so frustrating.

I got this connecting issue on last week and would like to get some help for it. When I try to play online games, I can play against some players but wit most players I get disconnected when game has loaded and is starting. Always there comes this message before the face off at the same time of loading process. It seems like there is somekind of problem to synchnorize settings with the opponent. I have tried to change setting of my router (different NAT settings and with brdging mode) but nothing helps. Same problem in HUT and normal online games. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? There is not any problems with XBOX Live or connecting to EA servers...

Hi, there is an issue with the automatic e-mail with match results that I receive by playing online drop-in matches with my pro. I like the feature very much but very often the results are wrong. For example: someone has 5 assists but only 3 goals are scored (according to the automatic e-mail). Or someone has scored a goal but the team score is zero. And the mail always says the game was not finished (I've never not finished).
Ok, thanks in advance if this will be fixed!
Ps: I play NHL 12 on xbox360

Hello I am having problems with "lag" or "latency" or delayed response. Sometimes, typically at night when there isn't as much traffic on the ea servers, I get a "playable" experience. But for the most part I cannot win a game for the life of me because my response is delayed. My internet connection is 7.5MBps d/l and 512kbps u/l. I am pretty sure the problem is the upload speed but i could be wrong. Anyways... I am sick of losing and getting taunted after games cuz i lose so bad... and no I do not suck ive been playing the NHL series since NHL 94 consistently. The only times I can win games is when there is little or no delay in my actions. Someone PLEASE HELP ME!

Dont think its your internet connection as i ran NHL12 (xbox) last night with an load software on my linux gateway running and NHL12 never took more bandwith than 40kbit/sec. the times i have run NHL12 and load software running i have never seen it go over 50kbit/sec. so it has to be a ping issue. Everyone i have talked to are having issues even a friend with 1gbit line is having same delay. Im thinking server issues at EA, must be. Cant be that half the community gets bad lines all of a sudden

Ok so is there any way I can test my ping to EA's servers? I seem to get fluctuating speeds.

Trying at the moment to get ip adresses to all the servers in use for NHL 12 but the support is all knowing as usual telling me to ask on the forums if other players can give me the addresses outsorcing at its best
Edit: and if the dude happens to get hold of the server ip's im not even then sure he even gets hold of the right ones...as he doesent seem to know a lot about EA systems
EDIT 2: as i said the support is freaking awsome the answer i got is that they dont know the excat locatiopn or ip addresses of the servers but EVERY country has its own server to ensure every player gets the best speed!!!!

Hello. My friends and I would like to play an online game with each other. There is usually 4-8 of us, and we like to play without random players joining. Is there anyway to set up a private lobby/game? Is there anyway to invite more than one friend to an online versus game?? Thanks for the help!

Hi EA
Ive left some more thorough feedback in relation to general gameplay. As for Online- heres my take
RETOOL the load room so that positions are no longer jockeyed for
MANAGE the player level in the games. Separate based on cards at least, if not a new Power Rating
GOALIES- wow do we need to be rescued from roaming, wintrading, divisive goalies. How about strict guidelines for Goalie play that if broken result in them getting benched, and if it happens frequently they have to retool through offline training before they can play online again. And offline training to even be allowed online in the first place! Guys, its the most important position in team sports! They ruin sooo many games.
BENCH players that are chronically out of position or dont pass or just shoot everytime.
MAKE a passer rating!! for online players so people know what they are getting into with each other
GIVE CPU a clue about movement to open areas and simple passing. Wow, this needs work.
Make CPU skate normal, not zig zag
GET RID of ridiculous looking created skaters with offensive names
Make the game about passing and position, not stickhandling and shooting- PLEASE
Have you ever watched an NHL player toe drag and spin in a circle 360^ and keep the puck from a defender? It is never going to happen, so why does it work in the EA NHL? Make solid defense beat stupid stickhandling and youll have a winner.
Thanks and GOOD LUCK with NHL 13

Hello there.
I've been playing the NHL series since 94. However, I've only started to explore Online Play with NHL 12.
Now as far as Online Play goes, I'm sure this a newbie issue, so please be fair. Whenever I play online, my team performs far weaker than my opponent's, regardless of which team I choose. I figured this was an issue with the slider settings, but I've since realized that you can't change the presets for Online Play.
To be more specific, my checks and poke-checks have no effect on my opponent, whereas if an opponent simply touches me, I lose the puck. As far as shooting and passing goes, my shots have no power and my passes are weak and ineffective.
Initially, I believed that when you play online, your abilities are just weaker because it's set to default settings. However, that doesn't make sense due to the fact that my opponent's passing is crisp and clean and my opponent's shots are far more powerful than my own. So, as you can see, I'm baffled.
I'm sure this is not a 'lag' problem. Additionally, my opponent's team skates far faster than my own. I am quite frustrated with losing and getting taunted. And no, it's not an issue of sucking. I play rather well when I'm offline. Like I said, I've been playing for quite some time now. My only other guess is that your team doesn't improve until you've accumulated some wins, but that seems odd. How do you get wins if you're only playing teams that are better?
Also, I'm always designated as the 'away' team when I play online. I figured this was determined randomly, but I'm never the 'home' team.
Anyway, I want to stress that I'm a newbie to Online Play, so please go easy and try to help a fellow hockey fan. If this post belongs somewhere else, please notify me and I shall move it.
Thanks for reading.

To epithree:
I don't think anyone has any serious advantages in the standard online matches (if you choose Play now>Online). I can imagine the home team might be little bit better though? I think whether or not you're the home team is random. How many matches have you played? Your experiences could be unfortunate. Maybe it has to do with players disconnecting from a match-up leaving the other player waiting for an opponent. Maybe they get the home advantage.
I do know that your success in passing and getting the puck from your opponent really depends on the situation. For example, passing backwards is more difficult. Also the opponent can shield the puck to make stealing it more difficult. About checking: a player can be stable or unstable depending on the situation. I notice that I get checked very easily just after shooting the puck for example. A good check is sort of difficult and you have to line up with the other player carefully. And the player stats make a big difference. The only stat that you have (personally) is the overall level that is used to find a suitable opponent in the match-up. It depends on how well you play against your opponents. Another thing: you can go a little bit faster by pressing the left-stick on your controller. And when you have the puck you can use the left trigger to push the puck forward to make your player skate faster.
When lifting sticks or poking the puck it makes a big difference when exactly you press the button. It takes some practice. I've noticed that all these small things can make a big difference in any confrontation on the ice. I actually think this is part of the fun since you actually have to practice your skills.
But you say you're a decent player. Maybe the combination of all these little things I've mentioned is the problem? Online play is less predictable, more aggressive and you have to play a little bit better. More wins does not make your team better for as far as I know.
To make a more powerful pass you hold the right-trigger a bit longer before release. For a more powerful shot you need a player with good shooting stats, you make sure you're skating in the right direction (suddenly turning and shooting can be less powerful), and you pull back the stick first (but you probably knew this). And always shoot with the forehand of course.
I hope this helps.
Jonathan
