guys, this is not possible!!! i have missed out on several thousand of points by now.
why on earth do points show up on screen but don´t get counted to the total score as soon as you get killed.
let me give you some examples (which I could fill up endlessly)
- you plant c4 on a tank, blow it up, but don´t get away fast enough and commit suicide... points for the detonation and kills show up and accumulate on the screen, but don´t get added to the scoreboard
- you place anti-tank-mines, get killed and while on the respawn screen your mines up a vehicle. score shows but does not add.
- you throw a nade, get shot and kill an enemy right after with that nade. points show up but don´t get added to the scoreboard
- you arm a create, get killed, create explodes while you are respawning... no points added.
- any critical hits, kill assists, etc show up on screen while you are in respawn screen, but wont add.

i have this confirmed by several squad mates playing rush on ps3 (don´t know about other modes & plattforms) but
there is no reason these points should not count towards your total score, especially since they show up on screen... if you manage to respawn fast enough before mines blow tanks, create explodes, kill assists get awarded they count towards your score again - that makes no sense.
i know that this was different during the demo, since i tend to be a c4-kamikaze-recon sometimes.
can anybody else confirm this problem? maybe somebody has a reasonable explanation for this *.

Yeah, this was noticed by many in the beta. AFAIK, Dice has never commented about it.

You can find threads about it at the UK BF forums and probably here too.

I haven't had this happen to me as of yet, nor did it happen in the demo for me (Total of ~50 hours play time without seeing this bug :$)

Yes this happens to me all the time. I detonated a comm station but died in a firefight just before the timer expired. I didn't get points for taking that point... Sux.

great... another issue, that only effects a certain amount of players. so no chance this will get fixed anytime soon, since it will be very far down on the priority list... would at least appreciate some comment from the devs.

i thought this was happening to me but then i noticed the spot where the xp pops up showing what you have done and how much xp you gained was covered by the respawn menu so i assumed it was going on but i couldnt see it.

or have you looked at your total xp to see if the points are missing

Thats something thats been around since well b4 this game use to happen in BF2 all the time.
Not getting points for assists and other activites that should've attracted points.

I comfirm, the amount of times i've blown up vehicles and the occupant died and i get neither vehicle damage or a kill or even an assist. just for an eample theres other stuff aswell.

Anyway all in all it's irrelevant, unless all you are playing for is stats

yes... since i had noticed this issue at the beginning of a round (still had 0 points instead of 360 for blowing up a tank, i checked the scoreboard regularly and noticed this happens to me every time.

do not agree. if the xp would be irrelevant why was it implemented to unlock weapons, perks, etc
i play the game for the fun, but on a long term run the stats are a rewarding benefit to the game and keep the motivation up. if i manage to blow up an m-com station or tank with 4 people in it and die in the process i want a reward in form of xp. plus some of us do like the competitive fact (even if it is just within your friends list).

Happens to me every now and then. I unlocked the Defib, then died. Still had it unlocked, and it said I was working towards unlocking it. Blew up tanks and Choppers. no points.

Sorry i wasn't refering to XP i meant the actual stats (kills, weapon time etc.)
ofcourse not getting points for doing stuff is annoying, but it's not the end of the world. as for long term stats, they can easily be screwed up by tards in the servers or hacks ruining your fun, or worse yet a stats server crash which has happened b4 in BF2

Peace !!!!
