I watched this match again on DVD and think that it is one of the best fights I have ever seen. Kyle is just explosive and say what you want, but Bigfoot took a hit that in my opinion would knock out a lot of fighters but managed to survive the round.the best part of the match was the respect shown by each fighter to each other. I thought it was a class act by both guys.

I'm a fan of Bigfoot for sure and agree he took that shot pretty well. It'll be interesting to see his next few matches, especially with Strikeforece promising an explosive Heavyweight year!

Legend has it that Julio Cesar Chavez's skull was a little thicker than the average man's, explaining why his chin was so great. If this is the case, then Big Foot should have the best chin in the history of the world!
What a great effort by Kyle. It's one of those cases where even though he lost, he looked great.. and will surely be given another shot with much more notice.
Did he break his hand in that fight? It looked like he banged it up pretty bad, but I'm not sure if that came from trying to protect his face or because punching Silva looks like punching an anvil.

Honestly, Bigfoot dropped quite a few spots down on my radar. From "meh, could be something" to "um... oh. that guy. meh".
I think that fight was more of "Mike Kyle is legit" than "Bigfoot is overrated".
People seem to have a short memory when it comes to guys in SF. Bigfoot just outboxed Andrei Arlovski for 3 rounds before he fought Kyle. The same Arlovski that destroyed UFC contenders Roy Nelson and Ben Rothwell.
I don't care who fights Mike Kyle, the dude can give anyone problems. I even mentioned when I made my predictions for the fight that he's just one of those guys that is game every time he gets into the cage and can never be counted out.
I've been watching Kyle for years, I know what that dude brings to the table. Not you personally but a lot of people that just use wikipedia or whatever to research a guy like to think that he's a bum or something because he hasn't fought a ton of top guys. However, if you actually watch the dude fight, it's not hard to see his talent. Of course he has some things he needs to work on but IMO he's another great 205 prospect for SF.

Hope it does not take too long for Kyle to heal that hand.

seriously dude...do you actually watch?? i have a hard time believing you do if you're backing this MF'er.
mike kyle is a grade-A P.O.S. call me out on fighter bashing if you want, but it the shoe fits...
im serious here. do YOU just go on the wiki or something? really, do you watch him that much? or @ all? he is about as dirty a fighter there is. try googling 'kyle' & 'dirty' (or something close). he has perm ended one fighters career due to his 'anger management' issues, been banned from a handful of smaller orgs, DQs, eye gouges, biting, strikes after the bell, etc, etc. most of these were there for all to see (if you were watching )
dudes a great prospect for SF?? dudes a great prospetct for felony fights @ some point in the future. thats about it.
IMO, he shouldnt even be fighting.
Of course he has some things he needs to work on
THATS the understatement of the year. of course, the way you make it sound, you're talking technically. I'd say he has more to work on than just his 'game'.
The same Arlovski that destroyed UFC contenders Roy Nelson and Ben Rothwell
...its obvious now that you don't WATCH the fights...destroyed? nelson/arlovski was one of the worst (if not, THE worst) standups in the history of the sport. andre looked good that night, but nelson worked andre over in the 1st and prob wins the round.

Yes, I'd call that a destruction.
Bad stand up or not, Nelson got his as* handed to him.

Haha.....wait wait....since when has Ben Rothwell ever been a contender for ANYTHING in the UFC? Rothwell got TKO'd by Cain in his first fight ever in the UFC lol.
You're gonna need to explain this one there Brock.
And uh, if we're going to talk sh*t about Roy Nelson getting KO'd by a HOF MMA fighter like Arlovski....are we talking about the very same Mike Kyle that got his sh*t pushed in by Justin F***-ing Eilers in the UFC lol???
You need to do more research on topics before you start mouthing off on your keyboard 'SF noob'.

1-1 in the UFC with his only loss to the current HW champ. He's a more credible contender at 1-1 than Lesnar was. At least he can claim he made it to the second round with Cain.....

That's a mighty fine troll job right there. Having to go back 6+ years to find a KO huh? You do understand that fighters evolve and get better right?.....Of course you don't.
Just to add, I wasn't talking sh*t about Nelson. He's actually one of my favorite fighters but that doesn't erase the fact that Arlovski jacked him. I was mentioning his name to add credibility to Bigfoot's win over Arlovski.

Are you seriuos right now lol? You honestly have the damn nerv to type this crap and then follow it up with that next line? Again Brock; you are a special kind of stup*d. Yeah, he's (Rothwell) only '1-1' in the UFC. But Brock is 5-2 in the UFC, with a Title victory AND title defense under his belt early in his career, with HIS only 2 losses coming to former UFC champ Frank Mir ( a loss which Brock has since avenged -in a dominating fashion) and a loss to the SAME damn guy you are attempting to compliment Rothwell for losing to while in the same thought attempting to belittle Lesnar for losing to lol.
Troll much?
Not to mention, in Brocks so far very short career, it took him only 4 fights to knock off a much more talented fighter than Rothwell ever fought in his 50 plus career fights; Randy Couture. He then went on to notch 2 more better wins than anything Rothwell has on his entire record in his next 2 fights as well: Mir and Carwin.
Yeah, someone needs to stop typing, and it isn't me -OR SLB.

Really? Well, YOU do understand that Kyle ONLY fought 5 times in 6 years up until that point right lol? And talk about evolving? Right at the point Eilers KTFO's the guy, that gave Kyle 2 KTFO losses in 11 fights -and has 2 more TKO losses since then, including the one recently against Silva.
Once again, Brock reaching for an excuse without fully grasping all the facts surrounding the truth.
I guess your obvious troll job here is obvious huh?
You do understand that fighters evolve and get better right?.....Of course you don't.
This coming from the same turd that called Frank Mir a 'can'? Your Troll *ss doesn't get to question what anyone on this site understands about fighters and what they are in the world of MMA.
Back to the cave Troll -or are you posting from it?

You fail to see the point. When Brock was 1-1 he had a loss to Frank Mir who was 2-2 in his last 4 with losses to Marcio Cruz and Brandon Vera(1st round stoppage losses I might add). Then he goes on to beat Herring who was also 2-2 in his last 4 with one of his losses coming from Jake O'brien.
On the other hand Rothwell's only losses in 5 years are to Arlovski and Cain. Like I said (The point you obviously missed) at 1-1 Rothwell is more of a contender than Lesnar was. So when you say "When has Rothwell ever been a contender for anything." you got your answer.
Let's put this in perspective. Over the weekend Mike Kyle fought Bigfoot and everybody pretty much knew that it would be nearly impossible for Kyle to overcome the size difference of a talented fighter like Bigfoot. Yet, when Randy fought Lesnar, the size difference was actually GREATER. Just because Randy has a name and you can tag UFC legend to it, doesn't mean he's gonna be able to overcome a 60 pound size difference with a guy who specializes in wrestling like himself.
Lol, please get your facts straight before replying. Kyle has had 17 fights since his loss to Eilers in 04.
This coming from the same turd that called Frank Mir a 'can'? Your Troll *ss doesn't get to question what anyone on this site understands about fighters and what they are in the world of MMA.
Lol, this coming from someone who bashs the GOAT Fedor and anything non-UFC related.....Right. I don't say anything that isn't true. I can't help every little girl that gets their panties in a wad because they don't agree. Frank Mir in his last 10 fights has 3 first round stoppage losses and 1 second round stoppage loss. One of them coming from a gatekeeper LHW and another coming from Marcio Cruz which was his second ever pro fight. Gatekeeper, Can, whatever you want to call Frank Mir, he is not an elite level fighter, regardless of how he is marketed.
