Hey
I have a problem with BC2.

When I play singelplayer or multiplayer after some minutes my pc just shuts completely down without a warning or BSOD.
Someone told me to change the dx from auto to 9, and I did without success.

Anyone know's what's wrong?

Win XP
Powersupply: 450w
Videocard: GeForce 9800 GT
CPU: intel core2 Quad Q6600
RAM: 2GB

thx from _tay

I had this issue when I played Mass Effect on PC; I just had to buy a larger power supply and everything worked. I had never played anything that fully utilized my video card prior to that, so I didn't notice prior to the shutdowns. It's worth a shot if you don't mind spending a few bucks.

exactly the same thing happens to me... and when it happens i have to turn pc off at mains for 30 seconds... if i dont and just power on normally my gfx card (radeon hd4580) light stays on and i get no display... also when i use knife in game 50% of the time the screen goes black and when it returns, after about 5 secs, i have been killed!!! i did the dx9 fix in settings but all this does is load a map in faster... i have tried newest drivers and have put all gfx settings to low... very strange and if it persists i am just gonna have to give this game away to someone who has a lower spec pc than mine... can anyone plz help with this??? I have a 530 watt power supply also

I have had it happen to me a few times as I attempt to enter a map, I just run cCleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/

to clean the junk out of my system and get back into the game.

Dont think so, videocard is 50*C (or 122*F) while playing.
