The reason for 30 frames per second is because the PS3 graphics engine is still new and Sony needs to release some more firmware updates to address PS3 reliability before you will see more games running at 60 fps. Also, for those running in 1080 resolution , because of the high detail level , running the game at 60 fps would result in a constant slow and fast fluxuation in the graphics engine, something seen when you play 2005 on a PC under vista. By locking at 30 it for now, the game is stable and provides and equal experience for all.

NBA 07 the show has been able to run at 60 fps, on 1080p resolution.

The issue isn't PS3 not having 30 fps fully. It's about 360 having it, and PS3 not. That makes PS3 users feel cheated out. Especially when they advertise it like both systems are gonna have it.

Your video proves how much of a difference they will be in gameplay even if it's 6 frames faster since it's 30 fps. 60 fps is much more smoother, and therefore reactive then 30 fps.

I just don't think it's that much smoother...

Also I have read of 60fps requiring lesser graphic detail...

AT SOME POINT THE HUMAN EYE AND MIND CANNOT REACT ANY DIFFERENTLY TO ANY CHANGE IN FPS... I DO NOT KNOW THE MAGIC NUMBER BUT I BET IT'S BETWEEN 30FPS AND 120FPS AND FOR NORMAL HUMAN REACTION WITHOUT THE USE OF DRUGS.

I don't think it requires lesser graphic detail, just more power and time to develop. NCAA had to cut some of it's graphics it had in 07 this year for the change to 60 fps, but it should be back next year the things they cut out.

But wouldn't you want to have more frames so then the game looks smooth and reacts faster rather then having a game that is somewhat choppier and less reactive?

not really...
I don't believe there is going to be any difference in reaction time
and I know there won't be since ps3 players will be playing other ps3 players...

30fps vs 30fps = EQUAL PLAYING FIELD
