If they can get it to 32+ players and give us an extra map (and battleships and destroyable carriers like in 1942) then i don't mind the PC version taking longer and they got my $15.

I know this has been mentioned before but after reading that the pc version is being put off until sept. is disconcerting. I was stoked to find out about Bad Company when it was being developed but upset to find out it was only going to be on consoles. I have been a bf fan since 1942 and have even purchased 3 copies of that game bc i lost the disk or had to reformat or what have you. I still play it on occasion as well. Same with BF2, (had to purchase it twice). It just seems wrong to me that you would play more to the console crowd when your supporting audience of p.c. players got you to this point with this series. Ok .. sorry, im off my soapbox now just had to get that out.

You are absolutely right. BF was born and raised on the PC, now they shift to consoles and they are like "oh, we forgot to add the pc in, lets throw something together".

I'm glad they're taking the time to do the PC version the right way. Proves once again PC > console for FPS. Happy to wait for the next WW2 FPS. And they aren't "throwing something together", they're taking an extra 3 months to polish the PC version. Do I want it sooner? Sure, but not at the expense of better quality.

Normally a gamer should wait till its actually released before praising the superiority of a product.

EA destroys every game they get their greedy hands on i love battlefield 1942. but Expacs and vietnam, battlefield 2,and especially 2142 were horsecrap ea should listen to their pc based customers and maybe they wouldnt be in financial trouble take a page from blizzard they give people what they want not what you feel you can make a quick few dollars on putting games out then discontinue them so all people have is worthless cd's laying around (motorcity online, sims online) hope EA goes bankrupt rid the gaming world of their greed

Anyone find it odd that Heroes is being released in June...the same month that 1943 is being released on consoles? I think since we as PC gamers are getting heroes that it is alright for us to wait a little longer in DICEs mind, because they want us to focus on Heroes and their dumb rent a shirt customization. Because if i had the choice, i'd be spending my time with 1943, not heroes.

Just a thought about the wait, maybe they want to get it out now for the consoles so everyone who owns a console buys it, then by 3 months they will be bored with it and thats when the PC version comes out with new maps and units that the consolers didn't have and will get jealous and spend money on DLC that us PC get for free.

Iv'e been a fan of all Battlefield games started with 1942, so i will wait anxiously for 1943. I would also spend more than $15 for it on PC version. I will also update my PC if neccesary just to play 1943!

I hope they increase the player cap...but it's not a deal breaker for me. I loaded up the BF1942 demo (Don't have disk anymore since I joined military), amazingly there are still a few servers going. The game was still fun as hell with 10 vs 10. And with maps more designed for smaller numbers, I could see it working. I would definitely be thrilled to alteast get 32 max though.

what gets me is that us pc gamers, have spent the last 15 yrs pushing graphics companys to develope better graphics.now the pc gamer is tossed to the side for consoles, where were console 15 yrs ago?I tell ya where in a box collecting dust.frostbite engine has been out over a year now so why so long for pc game.everywhere you turn its console games.beside that we have been waiting forever for update for bf 2142,where is it?

Will the game lag to uselessness once the carriers move, and the server crash if the carriers collide? That would really make it just like Titan Mode!

I'm going to install/play BF1942 when I get home tonight. The BF series has all been downhill since, though BF2 was almost great.

I know you might feel disappointed about the PC release being in September rather than June, but you should be very happy to know this is to give us the proper development time to create a proper PC version of Battlefield 1943 and not a console port. To the contrary of some less informed fans out there this is in no means an intentional ploy to punish our PC fans. And is in fact quite the opposite, we want to make the best damn PC version we can for our PC fans!

That's the best news us PC gamers have heard in a long time. Can't wait to share it with my friends. Thanks Gordon.
