Eric, I don't think this is related to the disconnect issue, but over the last week or so, I've noticed that I haven't been getting credit for wins in sim play. I'd say that I've won something like 8 matches over the last 10 days that I did not credit for (I seem to get credit right away for losses). Each of these games was played to its conclusion.
And in another possibly unrelated issue, I've noticed a weird scenario when trying to join a user created match. I will join the match and click on ready. But the match never starts, and I finally quit out of it, to find that the match no longer exists. I then try to join another match but I get a network error message. I have to quit out of online play and log back in, in order to be able to join another match. I've upgraded my router and haven't had any drops since, so I don't think this is an issue on my end.
As always, thanks.

LeeTargo, (R)andy,
was that a game you posted RANKED or did you enter a RANKED game ?
maybe you inadvertantly joined an UNranked match and didnt notice ?
or maybe the opponents you play use that lil nasty trick i think Glen was alluding to a month ago or so.

Dearest Darth Claus, i´m old enough to know the stuff Of course it was ranked. All my posts regarding DCs handle with RANKED games. Does power off the wii instead of quitting results in an non scored game? Can anyone tell it for sure? For me i decided to only play ranked Lobbygames with F9 or B9 and since then I hadn´t had an DC without scoring.

Last night I started two threesome matches. After the first hole of each match, I got a message that I had lost connection with one of the players and the match ended. In both cases, I was given a loss (even though I was leading both at the time) and we had only played one hole. Also, after each match, my drop percentage went down. I've had no real issues since I changed my router weeks ago and I don't think it had anything to do with my network setup.
This is very frustrating to me, since I recently created a new online persona, since my old one had so many losses caused by drops from when I had my old router. Also, I played a few more matches afterward with no problems.
So here are my questions:
1. The games ended after one hole. I thought that you had to play more than that for the match to register as a win or loss?
2. I believe it was an issue with one specific player (who was involved with both matches) quitting by powering off. Why should that lead to me getting a loss?
3. Anything I can do to get these two losses removed from my record? There are a number of players that won't play me because I am stuck at level one, even though I win most of my matches that go to completion.
4. Please tell me that next year, the game will be smart enough to detect which player quits a game and not penalize the remaining players.

Between 4:00 & 4:30 today, got disconnected 2 games in a row. Was ahead in both and got no wins and no losses. Just wondering if there is/was a problem somewhere in between my opponents and me.

Hello riggysmiths, you are right, EA has not given satisfaction. But EA_Eric as the author may gives an answer? At least an answer like this: "Sorry, but EA can`t find any solution. But in TW11 we protocoll all ranked gameresults for 24 hours so you can inform us if someone stole you the win and we will proof this and eventually give you the win".

While there may not be an immediate resolution to the problem, posting issues here gives EA feedback so that they can address issues in future releases. It appears that disconnects are not an issue with EA's servers, but with people's routers/internet connections.
The real problem appears to be that the code has no real way to determine when someone has been inadvertently disconnected or when they just powered off because they were losing. Also, the code cannot handle the situation of one person quitting a multi-player game to allow the other players to continue. Some of these issues can be resolved in code, others with rule tweaks. You can't just use who's winning at the time. Otherwise, players would play a few holes, get the lead and quit to get the win. Ideally, the player who caused the disconnect should get the loss. There is also the problem with people quitting after one hole when they discover that their opponent has the potential to beat them.
Not sure we'll ever get a totally satisfactory solution here, though. But we should expect some improvements in the next service pack (code named Tiger Woods 2011).
