many of the kids do things like hack, steal the game or pirate the game, so it would make sense if they didn't particularly care if these players were happy with the game

Wow. Do you have a older brother, cousin, friend, friends friend, random guy, anyone can help you buy it. Tell your mom to stop making a big deal out of it. It's not like your going to go get a gun and shoot someone because you played a game. The only people who ever did that were a bit crazy. I've gotten like the most violent games there is and I'm not even 17 yet. I hate annoying parents who worry about the welfare of their kids too much. Bothers me.

Wait, how old are you?

I wish my mom would believe that. She hates these games and thinks it will become a bad habit. I tried to explain things to her, but she won't listen.

In other news, gamespot last week had the ESRB for the game as T and now it is M. also they released info on a beta that either shouldn't have been announced yet or is false as they removed it very quickly. We should here of some info on a beta this week or next. It seems like gamespot is doing some weird things.

There is no problem.Just go to store with someone who is mature and buy the game. And one thing I have to say you: If the game is good, who cares about the rating.

Look Im 15 right and i get get annoyed the hell out of those arses that say bull while your playing but its common sense if you push the teen rating to the limit putting blood like in uncharted you will get people from the age of 13 and on and you can always mute their speech thats what I do

i have to agree. the language is bad, and there is blood, but when shot the blood isn't on the ground. I still think it is T.

I say TEEN. The new gameplay had hardly any swearing and no fs that I could hear. http://g4tv.com/videos/42695/Battlefield-Bad-Company-2-Direct-Feed-Walkthrough/
The blood was plenty but not overboard. I would give it a T for:
Langauge
Blood
Violence
Simple and easy.

Its different if its strong language and intense violence^^^^

And again, anyone know what the ESRB equivalent of PEGI 16+??? Cuz PEGI already gave the rating out, and ESRB would follow suit and probably give the same equivalent of 16+

The website is T for Teen [meaning you have to be 16 to be on it]. But there's blood, explicit language, likely to have alcohol references, and other M stuff.

The equivalent is a high end T game (think BC1) or a low end M game.

ok, tell me this. If the ESRB says its M on gamespot, you would think on the ESRB website the game would be on there with the M rating, right? wrong. It isn't official. Not until its on the ESRB website.

That's only a random poster from Gamespot saying that, not really Gamespot. We'll learn the rating as soon as DICE or ESRB releases it. Also on Battlefield.com it still says RP-T not T-M.

ya, i know it says on Gamespot M next to the ESRB, but the thing is thats what gamespot put in, thats not the official one. Dice and ESRB will have a rating soon enough. I still think blood, strong language and violence has the possibility of being T. Thats pushing the limit of the T rating, but ya....
