Yeah you need to have played a previous battlefield game, get that account info, link that to your ea account and next time you start up battlefield bad company itll be there. but i suggest waiting until the problem is fixed cuz u might lose it again

Not only did I lose my stats and unlocks, but my Gold Edition guns are all locked now too. What the hell is going on?

Just bought the game, and was wondering why I wasn't getting any change in rank in ranked games...

Glad that I didn't have a bunch of weapons like you guys! At least we're all playing at the same, "level".

I just hope that when the stats do come back, the 8-10 hours that I've been playing will be accounted for, and I start getting some darn weapons.

i have been playing bfbc for 69 days solid i am ranked 23rd in the world with skill level of 2 this is a real pain when or if ea fix the problem they should sort out the lag as wen i am in chopper on certain levels the game freezes its on top if bfbc 2 is the same i am going elsewhere regards BLUES-FC

Here's a VERY VERY interesting observation my son made. Let me explain:

When you go to the stats and leaderboards section of BFBC (the area where it currently confirms you have no unlocks, ranks, or trophies!! Eerrrgh). Well in that area there is a section where it tells you what trophies and patches the game anticipates you are about to get.

In normal times - that is when EA or Sony hasn't screwed with the servers - this prognostication is very optimistic. It usually shows that two or three patches or trophies are JUST within your grasp by indicating the current date plus about 20 mins. or so. In other words, the game predicts you get a trophy in just a few more minutes of play. Very encouraging.

What my son noticed last night was that the predicated date for the next trophy was SUNDAY NIGHT (22 Nov) around 8:12 p.m. (EDT)

Now isn't that weird??!?? The game is not predicting its usual "you're almost there mate" confidence and instead knows I haven't a chance at any success until Sunday night.

Let's see what happens ... Sunday night.

something tells me that the foreseen date will increase at the same rate real time does though. if it doesn't, and indeed stays at that predicted time, it is indeed very odd. only explanation would then be that the time is based on the last data entry date that the servers can access, and that when the time comes, the date will indeed stay the same, and thus technically try to say you are going to receive it on a date in the past...

bah. this needs to get fixed already... i got a 300+ score twice in a row in two different maps, only to remember that those points don't count for a single thing.

they need to at least get it so that we can start actually gaining points, instead of just playing for literally nothing at all :/

It's been a couple weeks now. I think the BFBC2 beta has something to do with it. See, if you notice, the stats are fine on the BFBC2 beta and not on BFBC. BF1943 is operating fine too. Why is it BFBC? Did the once good BFBC severs transfer to the BFBC2 beta? EA & DICE, please hurry up. I already upset of not being able to download the beta, I have the key but something isn't letting me download it. I need it fixed, like in a couple days or so please. We miss our unlocks. I need my other weapons back! Especially that motor strike thing! That gadget was awesome. Please fix it!

I really can't believe EA hasn't posted anything in this thread. I mean, I am stunned by it. The problem is clearly widespread and this thread, like the 3 or 4 others here in the forums on the same topic, have been viewed by thousands of players - thousands of paying customers.

What do they think to gain from silence? It's not like we haven't noticed.

Maybe they're doing the ostrich approach....Put their heads in sand and maybe the problem will go away
I personally think that it's bad buisness to let something go this long without letting the very people who's feeding your families know what's going on. As it stands now, I will refuse to get Bad Company 2 for fear this same thing will happen with the same silence treatment, I will also spread the word on how crappy they handle things.

this unfortunately is also not an exclusive incident. I have been treated in the same manner as this on several occasions, including with battlefield heroes, spore, battlefield 2, and battlefield 2142. i have unfortunately come to expect such unethical behavior from EA.

worst part about this all is, their games are good :/ i wouldn't mind if their games sucked, as it would allot them more of an excuse, but there is no excuse for such situations as what they have placed themselves in. It's just... sad.
