Rightline, for that hole and many others in the game, the stats you see are off by a stroke. What you think is reporting the number of aces is actually reporting the number of eagles. Eagles are birdies and so forth.

I believe it's off on this particular hole because it possibly used to be a par 5. On other courses like Riviera, almost all the scores are off by 1.

The only "cheating" going on is that people are retrying these rounds until they get a great score. Hard to call it cheating though as the rules specifically allow such.

Get rid of the abilaty to post rounds from all daily tournaments to gamer net would be a good start single tries and no fixed winds would even up the playing field at bit, and if sony would limmet the amount of dam accounts players can make would also help.

Good luck to the 360 users.

Thanks for the reply Oblong, but I think you should look again. What I am referring to is the Hole Stats that show during the flyby, in this case it says 2 Double Eagles, 59 Eagles, 56 Birdies, etc. I stated they were Aces only because a Double Eagle on a Par 4 is a hole-in-one. Since the tourney is still active, you can look for yourself.

So, I will ask again: How can someone hit a 473 yard drive in those conditions, without cheating?

Maybe you misunderstood what I'm saying. The flyby stats are wrong.

2 Double Eagles - means there has been 2 Eagles (2 people holed out from the fairway)
59 Eagles - means 59 birdies
56 Birdies - means 56 pars.

I can guarantee you 100% that nobody is hitting the ball 473 yards in those set conditions.

Oblong, if you're correct, than I'll stand down for now. But I still can't understand how you can hole out from the fairway on every par 4 on a course, and then hit a couple of aces on the par 3's. Unless that is, there's no wind and flat greens and you're using some kind of device on your controller that keeps your swing straight...and you get unlimited mulligans.

If they're not cheating, I guess I'm just not good enough to compete with them.

Rightline, look around the forums and I'm sure you'll come across many good ideas on how you can lower your handicap.

One thing that you must take into account is the experience and devotion that some of the top shooters have for TW golf. For example, if asked I know many who could describe any hole in the game with amazing detail from memory down to flag positions and where best to land your ball to have the straightest putt.

Not everyone can compete with that type of devotion to a game. Especially when you throw into the mix that on most tournaments you can restart a round without penalty. Many are doing this, noting their miscues along the way, and then correcting them the next try. Unless you want to put that kind of time and effort into it, it's likely you'll be a bit off their pace.

Suggestions are the Tiered Tournaments which putt you in competition with similar handicapped golfers, the Extreme events which only allow 1-try and no redo's, Play-the-Pro's tournaments where you compete against the real golfers, Gamernet Challenges, or just playing online straight-up matches against others of like skill levels.

There is something here for every type of golfer to enjoy so if you find something that is frustrating you just look around a bit and I'm sure you'll find something more satisfying. Good luck!

First, I gotta admit I haven't been on TW10 a while, after I got the platinum-trophy in october. Recently I got some messages on facebook about this tournament and was looking forward to giving it a shot. Shame it's not available and there's nothing more to play for on the PS3.

TW10 is a great game, and I had planned on giving it some more time if EA had treated customers equal. As it is now, I doubt I'll get future versions in the series and '10 will probably just get traded in for something at Gamestop.

Cheers and bye.

Blaming this on EA is really not accurate. Gillette and MS are sponsoring this tournament. If you want to complain to anyone, complain to Sony. They are the ones who have not treated their PS3 EA Sports customers with the same regard that Microsoft has....

Still just speculation Tim, we have not heard an official reason from EA as to why this is not available to the PS3.

If I'm wrong, please point me in the direction of the official response from EA.

Very poor marketing IMO and it is definitly leaving a VERY bad impression in PS3 user's minds.

I blame EA untill they come out and give us the official reason behind this.

EA is not going to make any such statement ever. Not about relations with Sony, Augusta, Phil Mickelson, or anyone or any company they have or are working on relations with.

One wrong word or quote that gets published, like saying "Well Sony wouldn't pony up some money to support Global Gaming Championships" could have far-reaching negative impact on both that project as well as others. It's just not the way you do business going around burning bridges.

Truth is it's either EA that chose not to work with Sony -or- Sony chose not to work with EA. None of us will likely ever know the cause. So blaming EA is a decision based on personal choice and no relevant facts any more than it would be to blame Sony. In fact, blaming one over the other is far more bias than either blaming both or neither given the material facts present.

Blame whomever you choose Andy. At the end of the day, there IS a competition for 360 users and none for PS3 users. Do you honestly think that EA would not prefer a competition for BOTH platforms? I blame Sony (and I can because I am now a PS3 owner and user and this is disappointing to me as well as you) because I know how these things are put together and it is my guess that Sony does not care about sponsoring such an event. Speculative, yes, but there is no speculation when it comes to who is sponsoring a competition and who isn't.....

This game is made by EA sports and I blame EA sports for not offering the same compitition for both platforms.

If they couldnt offer it to everyone ( for whatever reasons ) then they shouldnt have offered it all. Why alienate any percentage of your customers?

You guys keep defending EA and I completely understand your opinions on this matter but I still have the right to disagree. You guys make sense with your explaination but for me, its not enough, sorry.

I have almost completely lost any desire to play Tiger since the announcement of this compitition and the exclusion of PS3 owners.

Again, blame anyone you like. I am not defending EA, just the facts as I have already stated. How do you know that EA did not approach Sony with a similar competition to Microsoft's? You don't and neither do I. This is two years in a row, so it is becoming painfully obvious that Sony could care less.

The only thing that is painfully obvious to me is that EA can care less about the PS3, I blame EA because its their name on the package of the game that I purchased.
