im sure they have those stats recorded somewhere, you know how during games they come up with these completely unknown facts that no one would know, they have to have that stuff somewhere

im not shooting it down, im just making sure its taken properly and not skewed in some people's minds... some people might be thinking what you were pretending to think.

also, no where in there does it say how many catches rogers gave up... just the amount thrown on him and his ypa

honestly, the forced incompletion % is a dumb stats cuz they dont even say wtf that is... its not how many passes you deflected... so what is it?

football outsiders breaks down success rate like this:

in order for the CB to gain positive success %... they have to hold the WR to less than 45% of yards needed on first down, less than 60% of yards needed for 2nd down, and less than 100% yards needed of 3rd and 4th down..

so if a CB gives up a 4 yard catch on 1st and 10... the CB wins

if a CB gives up 7 yards on 2nd and 10, he loses success %

they also have a formula for late in the game and playing with a lead i believe...

thats why i say i have no idea what that stupid forced incompletion percentage is

they might have some of it, but they dont have it in a formula per say, or a rankings system that takes all that into effect..

for instance, they JUST last year started doing ADJUSTED yards per attempt, where they took into effect if you were covering a better WR or not..

they have yet to adjust it by cover 2, man cover 0.... how much your pass rush makes you better, stuff like that..

its probably impossible to do what i mentioned, but its interesting to think about

oh Im sure they have all that stuff somewhere, probably just not in the same place, that stat guy could probably tell you

maybe so... or maybe ill find a way to order game film of every game, and make up my own stat company that does all of that and has a formula for everything and become rich!!!

How can you rate guys. There is no way in hell you watch enough games to rate the top 25 corners. The metrics prove way more than what you can prove. You get to watch at most 3 games on Sunday with one being the Jags. These "metrics" are just as valid as your opinions on cornerbacks based on the Madden ratings.
