To be honest I was surprised you went for the 3rd match anyway. I think the first match was of a good standard but the second was terrible, I agree, didnt enjoy it at all. You did seem to be doing strange things, it is true.

There was a bit of lag but it only affected how you appeared on the screen, like you would be running one way and then seemingly rushing so fast the other way, which was distracting at first, but it was ok as long as I kept my eye on the ball and just assumed that you would reach every ball.

I was hoping we would get a court that WASNT clay too, I sometimes hate playing on it, especially against you, you are too patient and the points go on forever. Couple that with the sometimes unreliable wm+ and it isnt so fun.

wow that was you!!!
I actually enjoyed that match I didnt mind losing at all, it was a lesson for me!! Instead of slowing down, I speeded up too much. In the tiebreak I chickened out of approaching the net and was too conservative. But it was a pleasure to lose to another Evert!! In true Evert style too, coming from matchpoint down!!!!
You really shouldnt have told me it was you though, I will be super prepared next time!!!!!!!

Shocking stuff Brouche lost a couple matches.... seriously who cares? everybody loses.

Not everyone is so concerned about losing that they forfeit whenever they lose the first point.....

Mrshowtime I played Cobrasmano yesterday. Any idea about how to do those flatshots? He really has dominated that kind of shots!

Epon, we should never play on clay again! How laggy and slow was this match? Really had no fun and I assume you didn't enjoy it, either.

What a nightmare, Vmoe! Hey, if I want to play a nerve-racking game, I play Resident Evil, not GST.

This match lasted as long as normally 3 matches do. You should tell the rest of this forum how you manage to be so incredibly hard to pass as an allrounder. You're able to eliminate the big and often discussed disadvantage of slower players, namely their slowness. One false attack by me and I get a flat shot passing me. When I had a game point, you went to the net and hit a winner
Ok, this time I saw that it can be important who serves. When I served, games went by much faster. But when you served... deuce, advantage, deuce, advantage... Then when it was 3-2 I had to change something to finally break your serve and played a little more offensively. Fortunately I wasn't punished for that. Relief.

And please play on your higher-ranked account next time.

EDIT: actually it wasn't slower for me than our matches before. Maybe it seemed like that for you because I played more defensively. Now you see how I experience each of our matches. But of course, clay is awful.

According to mezzstyle I am cheating, that is the reason why I am difficult to pass! Seriously, I have to reflect on it, maybe I'll find a satisfying answer this week.

You playing more defensive wasn't the problem, I am used to such opponents (for example CmonCrissy). There we have even longer rallies . It felt really slow on my side, you were teleporting sometimes.

About the match: I was trying to play more offensive on your service games and it didn't work. After you gained the 3-2 lead you surprised with a very attacking style, gaining three match points. I assume you were expecting serve and volley from me on the first break point, hence the lob . I expected everything but a lob at this moment and thus it was easy for you to finish it. Tomorrow I'll be mentally fresh enough to play on my main account, so expect an even more exhausting match!

EDIT: Did you try out Nadal yesterday? I played against a german Nadal ranked around 1000 and I lost 1-3 after a 1-0 lead and three break points. He didn't play like you, but maybe you were trying out some things .

I thought 3-2, 40-0, you under pressure, is the right moment for a surprise, so I lobbed (remembering some horrible experiences against Cmon, when I was up 40-0...).

Teleporting...yes, you did it, too, sometimes, but that's just French Open. I rarely play rematches there. It makes the flaws of the game even worse.
The slowness... I always have the feeling that there is a lack of speed and dynamic (speed variation) in our matches. Either our playing styles or connections don't consort well with each other, whyever. Shall we avoid each other in the future?

Another online story: MaMog. First match on an alt. I let a shot by him pass (in a way that didn't look as if it happened deliberately), so he wins the first point and doesn't quit. It worked! Finally I could play an almost complete match against him. "Almost", cause he leaved, when it was 2-0, 30-0.
Second match, main account, but me again as Davenport. Again I let him win the first point, almost exactly in the same way as in the first match. Apparently he still didn't become suspicous and continued to play... until 2-0. I set myself the goal to really finish a match against him some day.

EDIT: no, that Nadal was not me.

The scaredy-snake (winning streak 72) made the right decision and avoided it.
