First off im going to ask if you have tried the suggestion given by EA_Offspring:
"Are either of you running security suite software such as Norton or ZoneAlarm Personal Firewall? If you are, you'll need to re-add the EA Download Manager to the list of allowed programs. This issue has cropped up in the past where you'll update, and the file names will stay the same, however users are unable to login to their respective programs."
Secondly, what opperating system are you running the application on? XP, Vista, 7? 32 bit, 64 bit?

Which firewall software are you currently running? There should be a way to manually select which additional programs to add.

Download the old version here.
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ea_download_manager/8788/
Before launching Download Manager, block all the network traffic.
It will not show the 'Upgrade' Message.
Then you could login well.
This is the only solution I could find now.

Hey guys, one of the developers asked if you could run the following steps for us. If you do save the file, please post back and I will give you an e-mail address to send the files to.
1) Go to https://www.eadm.ea.com/ in Internet Explorer
2) Wait until the page loads. It should say "Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server". If they get something else get them to send us a screenshot
3) Right click, go to Properties => Certificates => Details => Copy To File
4) Email us the file
Thank you very much for your help.
