What kind of mushrooms did you eat?? LOL. Just kidding, I think it could be your vidcard..check if its not over heating, clean the van with a brush, dust and so on will stick in there..otherwise update your vidcard drivers?
what vidcard do you have and is it supported?

Im not sure about the DirectX version or issue..have no probs with my version,,, 9 that is..anyway..i have had it way back with an older vidcard, similar issues, then i cleaned the FAN with a Vacuum cleaner and a very small brush and all the dust was gone..then my vid card didnt overheated anymore..so it could be that..make sure your computer is not running when cleaning it..LOL..

Its not your Vidcard. I have a brand new 5770 with 10.2 drivers and I get same issue. Now(started yesterday), after around 30 minutes of online play, the game flashes horribly and locks up. I had the flashes from the start, but the crashing is a new thing! It forces me to softshutdown as I am on a plasma, cant let that image just sit there burning into my screen. It gets real bad when you get into vehicles right, especially when you change view to outside to catch the c4 guys. I have done everything, tried every tweak I could think of. I even ran the game at 840-680( or whatever that ridiculously low res is) with ALL the settings as low as I could get them. It changed nothing. My card runs at a max of 52C under hours of load.
Ive been told its my power supply(950W corsair 80+cert W/76 amps on pci-e rails), then it was my processer (AMD phenomII x4 965 @56C) ,then my ram was the issue (I am using corsair XMS3 atm but tested 4 gigs of mushkin blackline and dominator to no avail) , then it was maybe your southbridge is failing (brand new Crosshair formulaIII that runs over 20k in 3dmark06 on auto clock with 1 Vcard) and on and on,everything but the truth, the game is broke.
I LOVE this game and adore onlineplay, I truly hope they find a fix for this. My guess is that it has everything to do with directx ,win7 and compatibility issues with xp and vista, time will tell.

See the problem with this is that if it was the game, it would be happening to everybody, and since it isn't. it is more than likely something on your computer doing it. Seeing as you have tested all the obvious, and some not so obvious, components, it is time to look to the even more obscure. Try running anti spyware/malware programs and see if they come up with something, try reinstalling windows and see if that helps. in 99% of these cases where it is not a problem everyone has it is more than likely your own pc thats at fault.
