I suck at this game, I mean I absolutely suck. But I've saw a few good players in my limited online experience. Tonight I saw the best player I've seen other than the top guys who have uploaded videos on Youtube. THis guys gamertag for Xbox 360 was something like, "Trish Killed Me", or something like that. I will look it up tomorrow. Dude was like 65-3 online record so really they hadn't had a lot of fights. But just watching his skill this dude (or possibly gal?) was one of the best I've seen. He wasn't a spammer either, and I watched him use multiple different styles of fighter, and win. I got creamed by a guy that carried me for 3 rounds. It was good experience, but I just can't time my sprawls, I can't block punches very well, and, lol, I was getting hit by a damn flying knee every single time. I'm gonna have to stop using ground guys, at least until I become a master of stamina on the ground (which I'm not).

Awesome, glad he's on your system and we don't have to face him.

The player I was talking abouts gamertag is Killed by Trish. This is the most skilled player I've saw and judging by their record they haven't even had 100 fights. I think it's a female player too. Wish they'd put female fighters in this game. I"ve heard before that the female talent pool isn't that big, but really, it's pretty big. It's just that it's worldwide, and unfairly they don't get featured on big fight cards that much. You either have to be a beauty queen, a physical phenom of a woman, or a cute little American sweetheart. It would still be a cool little extra division. I think, and often times women don't have the physical power to put each other away, it would make a lot of sweet 3 and 5 round decision type of fights. The technique might actually be implemented more as most of the female fighters don't do instant damage to each other, excluding Cyborg and a couple of others. So, best players I've played, in no particular order.

Killed by Trish
Xtreme Suasage
SWOLTRAIN
Crunk Mob

Only Xtreme Suasage is in the top 50, I think of the ranked. So man, I guess I'll REALLY be in for an a** whoopin if I ever fight anyone in the top 20. Heck, most white belts beat me. Still a blast though, even when a really good player is carrying me the entire fight and just knocks me down, lets me get up, taunts me, LOL! I bet some of those guys are just nice guys, some may think they are breaking another players spirit, I'm just sitting there thinking if I get a clean counter in I'm gonna steal a win from your cocky a**.

Probably the only guy who could beat me more than I can beat him is Copper...he's pretty damn good and doesn't glitch. We always have good fights but I think he has me figured out a bit, at least standing haha

I'm having a hard time Butterbean. I think it's a combination of not enough practice, or time to practice, as well as I just don't think I can naturally be as good as some guys. I'll damn sure keep trying though.

Think of it in the long-term: Right now you're just training for MMA 2 haha It took me a long time to get good @ Fight Night/MMA...played every EA sports fighting game from Knockout Kings onwards...right now MMA is training me for the next Fight Night, the next fight night will train me for the next game, etc. Different games and new things are added (i.e. full spectrum punching)....but they do end up building on each other to some extent. Keep @ it man !

Where I screwed up was switching from TPC to buttons on Fight Night. I should have stuck with the TPC. Right now I'm forcing myself to stick with TSC in this game, it's tempting to go to buttons.

I've been switching to buttons lately(off-line)and as much as they can be an advantage, I'm not sure I'll be sticking with them.

If you want to get good at striking using TSC, play the CPU with someone like Cung Le, and whatever strike you have a problem with, do over and over again. For me it was uppercuts and teep kicks(wierd motion for me for some reason).

But thats how I went from meaning to throw one thing and accidently throwing another, to mixing it up with combos I didn't think I'd ever be able to pul off.

If you haven't tried this, try it. Even start off on medium difficulty, but only beat your opponent on the feet with the strikes you are having most problems with and keep letting him up after KD's.. If its uppercuts, throw nothing but uppercuts and teep kicks. If spinning strikes are hard for you than use nothing but spinning backfists and spin kicks. Whatever, first beat your opponent with nothiing but the strikes you find the asbolute hardest. Then, once you can throw them without even thinking, practice your second hardest. Then start mixing strikes together and upping difficulty.

It takes a long time but for me, in the begining, when this game first came out I HAD to do this but it worked. I still go back and do it whenever I feel I'm starting use repetative combos online.

Also, really work on head movement and find the specific punches/kicks that do most damage directly after bobbing one way or the other.
