Edit- After setting the steering wheel rotation to 200 degrees for the Logitech G27, the game is working well. I am able to program all controls and the analog gas/brake pedals work as expected. This game is fun now. I only wish I could use the shifter/clutch in a manual setup.
At least the Logitech G27 works with this game. It must've been fixed with the 2nd pc patch-
Thanks EA and Criterion Games for the fix.

I just picked up the thrustmaster universal challenge racing wheel. you have to manually map the controls, but for less than $30 its pretty good wheel

I can't imagine what it's like with a wheel, but as laggy as the control input is for this game even with KB, I would think it would be tough to get used to and involve a lot of snaking back and forth using a wheel. Some claim to have measured at least 300ms input lag even on KB, and I believe it after playing on KB a fair bit.
I don't understand it because it seems to be based on the same engine Criterion used for Burnout Paradise, and in that game you had to quickly dodge a lot of obstacles on city streets at high speeds and the cars had the steering response to do it.
Some here have suggested some city street DLC to add to this game, but in it's present state I can't see that it's capable of handling such an environment. The sluggish response is bad enough on rural roads.

So far the wheel works well with Hot pursuit and undercover, a little sketchy with Shift. This wheel comes with connectors for all the game consol as well as USB for PC

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit officially supports the following steering wheels:
PS3
Generally all steering wheels based on the PS3 controller will function in NFS Hot Pursuit. Also note that all Logitech “Driving Force” wheels, plus the top-end G25 and G27 wheels are supported
Xbox 360
We officially support the Microsoft wheel but any Xbox 360 wheel will most likely work fine.
PC
For PC we support all X input or Direct X compatible controllers, in other words, they’ll all work and will need to be configured in the game.
Wii
For Wii we support the Mario Kart wheel and compatible.

I just got this game a couple of days ago to use with my PS3 and G25 setup. I must say the cars drive like high speed tanks. Steering is not very subtle. Wish I could return it, but I already opened it. Oh, well keep checking back for updates. Should have never tried NFS off the PC I guess. They should have called this one NFS stick pursuit and been up front about it. Back to Dirt2 I guess. I wish I could stop feeling like I am getting ripped off all the time buying new games @ $60 a pop.

I cant assign the buttons on my Fantec wheel, it shows the wheel, i select any key to assign, but it never recognizes any input and i have to force quit to get out of the game. My old wheel was fine, and my new wheel works with every other game. I uninstalled and re installed, nothing changed. Anyone have any ideas?
