Need for Speed Racing Games

ok im too lazy to search, and idk if i just stupid but me and my buddy had both our profiles loaded, and we couldnt figure out how to race eachother useing the cars we created, we could only use the pre-tuned default cars set for those races. anyone know how to use your custom cars in split screen? also if you wanna race Burdogg18 is my gamertag
