I was wondering how long it would take before we got a bring back MCO request.

i second that request... but ea will never bring it back it was to good of a game.. i played it for 3 years..

Motor City Online is to much competition for Need For Speed thats why they pulled the plug on it before nfs underground came out. if we are all playing a new mco for a couple years we arent buying every need for speed that is the same as the last one but with a new spin on it..

ea is a bunch of money hungry bastards they only make racing games good enough so we will buy them thinking its better than the previous one but we get bored with it fast enough to want a new nfs game
thats why im not "buying" any of their games until they make one worth buying that i wont get bored with after a week

EA doesn't understand MMO's. They want to sell boxes. They want to develop a game, put it in a box, then on the shelves, and never look at it again beyond the financial returns. You can see this when they don't even want to issue patches to fix the things that are broken.

MMO's require constant development and a commitment to add content, improve the technology, fix bugs, etc.

As much as I'd love to see a game like MCO come back, the last thing I'd want to see is EA bring it back. They've proven time and time again that they CAN NOT DO IT.

Pro-street is very pretty, and it's the closest thing they've made to MCO since MCO, but it's lost it's soul. It was a half-assed attempt to update the concepts.

IMO, MCO had better physics. It had infinitely better customization (under the hood), the damage model was better, and having an actual IRC (chat) server was light-years ahead of everything they've attempted since for facilitating online play.

The only thing that doesn't need improvement is the graphical customization. I'm sure there are some people who miss the ability to add sound systems to their trunks, neon to their undercarriages, and custom purge-valves - but I'm not one of them.

It's been 6 years since they released MCO, and EA is only half way to getting back what was lost.... I hope it's not another 6 before we see something that stands up to MCO's standards.

i bet if ea brought back mco.. and didnt change much about that game beside some graphics improvment.. added some rice burners and exotics a couple body kits.. maybe update the paint shop.. and thats about it.. charge 10-15 bucks a month.. they would make a ton of money off the game and it would be known as the best racing game ever made... the ONLY problem i had with mco is it wasnt advertised enough and i didnt start playing it from the first day it came out...

i dont get it i played that game for 3 years... and was still playing it when they shut down the servers and never got bored with it..
ive played pro street for what.. 5 days... im already getting bored with it

i know ea has the ability to make an awsome game that will last and people will continue paying every month to play

I beta tested MCO & loved it. Loved the game that is. Hated the lag. At the time I was on dialup & that just wouldn't cut it. But I suppose EA wanted to see how dialup was going to work for them. So I didn't get to play much. And didn't play when it went to pay.

BUT, ......... in my opinion EA really dropped the ball on that game. Why no single player? That might have been the game I have been waiting for them to make since Porsche Unleashed. Which again in my opinion is the best of the series. Awesome single player game & even better online. Since they went to the yo yo yo boom boom boom pants down to your knees crowd I haven't cared much for the games. I understand that the console (I'm a PC guy) is what drives this industry but I'm just not into the bling bling. And I'm sure I'm a little older than EA's target market. I love that the games were/are made in Canada. WE ROCK!!!!

Back to MCO. Muscle cars are my thing so MCO was like a dream come true for me. About the only part of ProStreet I'm really likein' is the drags. Although I haven't done the speed runs yet. But speaking of drags, where is the competition? I've got all kinds of parts I can put on my Charger but I haven't needed them. I'm almost stock. But I'm only about 15% through.

Anyway, I would love to see a game like MCO but with single player. I'm sure I would play it more than Porsche. And I played the hell out of that game.

Bring back MCO. I know 10 people who loved that game and will pay 15-20 monthly to play again.!

WTF I so miss M.C.O and I am tierd of playing W.O.W the sims 1.2 and Sims online Suck I(Can't beleave I was a bata tester) palyed all the N.F.S Game's and nothing was like M.C.O ! the developers F^$%ed up M.C.O up buy adding Jap car's and such! M.C.O was my 1st online gamming Exsp end ever sence thay took it a way nothing has Filled my video crack need's sence M.C.O I can't beleave EA game's Bad marketing and decision making if thay would of put time cards out at all the best buys and wall-marts like W.O.W Duzz it could of reached new hights I will never buy a EA game agen until M.C.O come's back I been surching for over 5 year's now for a game as the same Calber as M.C.O But for all the M.C.O fan's out there and if any buddy reads this far I will tell you what game's are ok if yah like racing game's but there still nothing like M.C.O But I do play now is Arca/Remax series stock car racing sim and R factor Dirt track racing sim thay are fun and online racing is free! you can't buy thease game's at Best buy or Wall-Mart you have to order them on line only but way worth it cause EA game's S#$k I can't beleave you peppole! hear the world cry we WANT Motor City Online back NOW!!! I spent thousands of doller's with EA game's never agen not 1 red Dime! well I'm off to hit lvl 80 in the lich king But I rather play MotorCityOnline Basterd's

I think they should bring back MCO, but with current cars as well as the classics.

Some one just need's to buy the copy right from EA game's? I would but I am poor white trash! But I would help run the sever's for free! Just like when The Simfactory.com Bought the right's to Pupyrus 2003 Nascar Racing season to creat the Arca/Remax racing sim<-- Way Kool) wile EA game's bought the right to Nascar it's self! and thay messed that up too! (I bought the PS3) just to race EA Game's Nascar 08 on line and agen way disapointed!!! I was so Mad I pond my PS3 off!!! Cause I am a PC guy any way!! I lost 1k on that move! Thx EA game's! there is an MCO mod for rfactor, it isnt what MCO was, but at least its something.
oh yea, and its free to DL as long as you have rfactor.
