What’s new in the 3.5 release?

There are lots of exciting new changes to the way we allow you to showcase your skills to the EA SPORTS Nation. First, you’ll notice that we’ve merged the old My EA SPORTS World page with the old Profile page to create the new Player Hub. Log in and see for yourself what has changed.

Where’s my Avatar?

EASPORTS.com now allows you to choose between the old style 2D Paper doll, and the new 3D Game Face (that can also be downloaded into FIFA 10, FIFA 11 and FIFA World Cup as a Virtual Pro). If you select the 3D Game Face, you’ll see all your thumbnails across the site change. If your avatar looks a little off center, make sure you hit save to refresh our database and restore you to your usual handsome self.

Can I still buy items for my 2D avatar?

You can still get to the 2D avatar store while viewing the 2D avatar, so you can select a range of new outfits. However, EA SPORTS Online is focusing efforts on the new 3D Game Face technology so don’t expect too many updates for the ‘old model’.

What are Personas?

A Persona is your identity in the online EA SPORTS Experience. It is the name you are known by and how your friends can find you. When you created your EA SPORTS account on the Xbox 360 or PS3 you provided an email address and password to your platform account name.

You can sign into EA SPORTS.com using that same email address and password and you can select your default Persona name (which is likely your platform account name). This will be the name you will be known by in your EA SPORTS online experience.

If you are registering with EA SPORTS for the first time via the EA SPORTS.com website, you will be prompted to select an EA ID. This will be the name you will be known by in your EA SPORTS online experience.

If you have multiple consoles, you can connect accounts from those other platforms by selecting ‘Add Persona’ from your EA SPORTS Player HUB and providing the email address and password you used to create those additional accounts.

How do I see my friends using Personas?

Because console specific friends are restricted to those platforms, EA SPORTS has created a friends feature that you can take anywhere. To find a friend, use the Search Now feature and enter their console name. Once you have found them go ahead and send a friend request. Once your friend has accepted the request you can find them on your console Player HUB via the Address book and Friends Category. Now you can keep in touch with your friends on both the EA SPORTS console and web experiences.

What’s new with Leaderboards?

We have revamped Leaderboards so you can see where you rank about that entirety of EA SPORTS gamers, but also amongst your Friends. Just use the dropdown menu to select the view you want. These Friends Leaderboards are the perfect reason to go and link to all your EA SPORTS friends so you can compare and contrast stats and prove who is the greatest at any given game.

What else has been updated?

There are new Tabs for your uploaded Media, your Clubs and Leagues, Tools like Boxer Share, Messaging and Friend Requests. We’ve tried to make all of these parts of your gaming experience more accessible and easy to use. Let us know what you think and help us continue to improve.

Where are “Groups”?

With the creation of our new Player Hub, we have discontinued “Groups” as they were not being used as much by the community. We encourage you continue your conversations about your favorite teams in the forums.

Yeah. Because i cant find the paint booth widget that i had before you guys decided to change my EASports page for me!!!! Does this mean that we cant upload to our EA lockers now?
