I am a fairly long term fan of the NFS series. I own all versions for 360 and have dabbled with them during the ps2/xbox1 era. However, with the release of undercover for the xbox 360, I feel that EA is simply abusing my support of the franchises.
The issue I have is with the ability to buy better cars using real world money via microsoft points. When this was done in carbon, I never used it and understood it to be a time saver for people too lazy to look for the codes online.
So let's look at my particular situation. I am a porsche aficionado. I'll deal with the intro tier of cars, but what I really want to do is get the boxster/cayman, then upgrade to the 911s, and the carrera GT. There is no boxster/cayman, so I need to work through tier four and three to get to the cars that I want. I am now over 3hrs into the game and 37% of the way through the career using cars that I don't want. Worse, the race and pro level parts for these cars are still unavailable. But when looking at the cars and parts, EA gives me every opportunity to use real word money to play the game how I want.
So, I've looked online at popular sites mycheats.1up.com and gamefaqs.com and have found no unlock codes.
EA knows I'd prefer to play with better cars. I've already paid $60+tax for the right to play. I've searched online. But it seems the only way for me to enjoy this game as I see fit is to pay more money to EA. Not for new content, like cars tracks or extra modes. No, for in game assets. So, I guess I'll drop the money to unlock the car, but remember this the next time I have to decide between pay full retail for an EA game or one by another publisher.
