hi

i bought dead space 2. installed it and ran the game. went to settings, controls , to custom them, and guess what!!! theres no way to have the walk forward on a mouse button... it makes me so mad that game companys don't make they games with fully customisable controls....

i can't use my hands, so i game using my chin. for disabled people like myself need fully customisable controls in all games, it can't be that hard to do surely??

if they can have the fire assigned to a mouse button, surely they could of assigned walk forward to a mouse button...

so now i can't play this game and i wasted £25..

the link below includes a picture and 2 videos shows how i play games.

more information http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18236540 why having fully customisable controls is so important for me.... please read all the link to understand...

Omfg, I will never take anything in life for granted again. You are truly a awsome person man. I can't believe the talent that you have. I would hate to see how badas* you could be if you could use your hands.

Visceral and Ea, plz help this guy out in some way. It would be great publicity for you guys and would really show that you do indeed care for ALL of your fans.

I hope a mod takes this to the developer. I'm sure one of your coders could have this done in a day. This guy has paid cash money to play your game .... but can't. Put aside some hours for yout code team to get a solution together PLEASE!!.

Hey, guys.

I've sent this up the ladder. I'll keep you posted, or we'll have someone answer this in an official capacity.

Thanks for the heads up.

Bumping this for Gareth

Please allow fully customizable controls for ALL your games, EA. It's a very simple change to implement, and with regard to Dead Space 2 means the difference between Gareth being able to enjoy this awesome game and him having wasted his money. Please provide support for disabled gamers!

Is looks like X-Mouse Button Control at http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMouseButtonControl.htm would work as a more general solution for dead space 2 and future games.

I have not used it, but from what I understand it intercepts the mouse input and sends a keypress similar to a joystick/gamepad remapping program. I may be wrong about the interception part (binding mouse1 to B may send both a mouse click and B to the game); if I am then the commands currently bound to the mouse in dead space can be rebound to other keys to solve a conflict.

The program does appear to have program specific settings. You should be able to set up a dead space 2 profile so you don't have to screw up your mouse functions in other games and windows.

If you need it, I can try to test the app out and post more instructions.

i've tried X-Mouse Button Control but it doesn't seem to work in the game. i'm not sure why...

in the game it just keeps saying something like "assignment is not allowed"
