I just want the vikings to get as much love as every other team got in these updates. Devery Henderson went up like 18 points in overall on this game and is at an 80. Then you got Percy Harvin at an 81?? Rookie of the year, put up great numbers. He needs to be an 85, and increase his strength, injury, stiff arm, truck.

Harvin had 790 yards receiving and 6 td's, which is good for a rookie but nothing amazing. He's a rookie. EA doesnt bump rookies up that high unless they really dominate, like Cushing or Clay Matthews did.. and even those guys arent ranked that high. I love Harvin.. but EA is just not giving rookies good ratings. In Madden 11 I would be willing to bet he starts out around an 85 though, when they factor in his expected improvement to year 2 of his career.

The Viking I think should be ranked higher is Sidney Rice.. he was dominant this season, and in the playofs. But I think the o-line should get decreases across the board, especially. They dominate in Madden, yet in real life AP led the league in getting hit behind the line of scrimmage and was stuffed time and time again cuz the line got no push.

on edit: to clarify, I agree with you Harvin should be better.. I'm just saying how EA doesnt give rookies anything unless they really dominate apparently. I don't agree with it, it's just the way it is unfortunately.

good post man, and yes I agree with you about them rating rookies. In the beggining I understand, but like now after the season or during the season they could show them love but they really dont. And yes, Sidney Rice was dominant all season and I think he should be about a 93-94 overall. The kid came out and proved he belonged. Some of the best hands in the league, great awareness, control, concentration.

As for the line, yeah Mckinnie could go down, Hutch could go down...they both had bad years(could be due to inujury and Mckinnie started off playing the best football of his career and then went downhill like in week 10). The rest of the lines overalls aare pretty fair IMO. Sulli is in the 70s, Loadholt is an 81 and I dont even know what Herrera is lol. And the Vikings o-line does NOT dominate for me anyway when I play, they are actually usually terrible for me online. Every d-line dominates my offensive line lol...pretty aggrivating.

And why is it so easy to run up the middle of the Vikings d-line on this game? They dont make the Williams wall dominate like the Ravens Ngata or whatever his name is. He cant be stopped on this game.

McKinnie was playing well early on. I didn't notice much until Julius Peppers broke him. That's when I started to notice he lacked confidence or something. Idk what the deal was. Rice needs an increase for sure though

just fyi, if you agree with me on these forums, that kre8iskevin accuses you of being me.. like i created your account as well and i use it to agree with what i say lol.

But that's true what you said about the d-line.. when i play agains the vikes i always think it's going to be a lost cause to try and run between the tackles, but it's surprisingly easy. I mean i usually play as the Jets and they have an awesome o-line, but still.

yeah Mckinnie was beastin on people early in the season, and then like you said after the Julius Peppers game & people saying that hes giving away plays with his stance, he was very bad. But like weeks 1-9,10 until whenever they played Carolina he was playing the best football of his career and then it went down hill fast and bad. He is still a top 10, top 5 maybe tackle....so he deserves a good overall but he has got to get back to what hes known for, so if he drops a few points next madden series, oh well.

for madden 2011, i would really like to see challenges improved, like you get choices on what you what to be challenged on the play, instead of the computer guessing what you want challenged

Can we get 1 last Roster Update at the end of this month?

That way we'd have most of the Free Agent movement for Online Franchises.

There won't be, and shouldnt be, another update.

Tomorrow is March 5th. That is the start of the NEW league year. The 2010 season. That will be represented in next year's Madden game. It wouldnt make sense anyway, because a bunch of teams will be cutting important players tomorrow and not planning to replace them until the draft. It will be unfair to players who use those teams. Why should just the stupid teams that throw money around like the Redskins have big boosts in Madden. Everyone knows their big day each year is the first day of free agency, when every other team focuses on the first day of the season and getting their team ready over the long haul.

Wouldn't that take off the retired players?
