I am the Senators Captain. I have included the current Lines, Injuries, and Rating Increase/Decrease suggestions. We are trying to keep the rating talk within reason, so we were asked to limit ourselves to 3 increase and 3 decreases for now.

I know there are lots of changes we'd like to see and would like to get feedback from all of you other sens fans

Line 1 Milan Michalek Jason Spezza Bobby Butler
Line 2 Nick Foligno Peter Regin Alex Kovalev
Line 3 Jarkko Ruutu Chris Kelly Chris Neil
Line 4 Ryan Shannon Zack Smith Erik Condra

D
Line 1 Brian Lee Filip Kuba
Line 2 Erik Karlsson Chris Phillips
Line 3 Chris Campoli Sergei Gonchar

G - Brian Elliott
G- Robin Lehner

PP1
Milan Michalek Bobby Butler Jason Spezza
Sergei Gonchar Erik Karlsson

PP2

Peter Regin Alex Kovalev Nick Foligno
Filip Kuba Chris Phillips

PK1
C -Shannon RW - Regin
LD- Phillips RD - Karlsson

PK2
C - Kelly RW - Foligno
LD- Gonchar RD - Campoli

healthy scratches:

Matt Carkner
Jim O'Brien
Jesse Winchester

day to day:
Daniel Alfredsson

injured reserves:

Pascal Leclaire

Rating Suggestions

Increases
1. Erik Karlsson - 82 overall increased to 84 overall
Karlsson is having a breakout year for the Ottawa Senators.
GP G A Pts
55 9 23 32
The following are what I believe should be attribute ratings in the following categories:
Deking - 66, Hand - Eye - 81, Slap Shot Accuracy-79 and Power - 83, Wrist Shot Accuracy-77 and Power - 82, Strength - 75, Balance - 75, Stick Checking - 73, Body Checking 75, Def Awareness - 79

Erik is leading the Sens in points and Assist.

2. Nick Foligno - 80 overall increased to 83 overall
GP G A Pts
57 9 14 23
I think Nick is improving in the NHL and deserves a high rating.

3. RYAN SHANNON - 77 overall increased to 79 overall
GP G A Pts
. 54 5 7 12
not much on the score sheet for Shannon but he is a underrated hockey player. Ryan is a really hard worker and play maker and deserves at least a 79 overall.

Decreases
1. Carkner - 80 -> 78
2. Leclarie- 82 -> 81
3. Spezza - 88 -> 87

If anyone got any question or comments or would like to help just let me know... thanks.

23 points in 57 games for a forward is awful. should not be a 83 overall. more like an 81. i can agree with the others though. chris kelly also just got traded too.

yea i know 80 or 81 would be good
its also a pretty bad time to do this roster updates due to the fact of all the trade currently going on plus trade deadline coming up.

Being from Binghamton, I will help out with the AHL.

Bobby Butler- Good Sniper (At best he will be a second line player in the NHL).
Erik Condra- Hard working grinder. 4th Liner maybe if he is lucky he will become a third liner.
Zach Smith- A grinder who has no problem mixing it up.
Colin Greening- Yet another hardworking grinder.
Roman Wick- He won't become much of anything, don't be surprised if he goes back to Europe.
Jim O'Brien- Two-Way Forward, I see him as the next Chris Kelly and Maybe Mike Fisher.
Derek Grant- He hasn't played a ton but from what I have seen another Grinder.
Cody Bass- Hardest working player on the Ice, he hustles. Unfortunately he lacks the skill to make it in the NHL.
Kaspars Daugavins- Sniper, its hard to describe his style but the guy can dangle.

Patrick Wiercioch- Ottawa is high on this guy but I am not. He never shoots on the point and I don't think he threw a single hit all season long.
Eric Gryba- Big Guy, when he learns to use his size more effectively he'll be a good shut-down defenseman. Decent fighter as well.

Robin Lehner- Good technical goalie, does occasionally let in soft goals.

There are others in Ottawa but these are the guys who have a legit chance to make it to the NHL. You could make the argument on Bass but he is such a hard worker that it is hard not to think he begiven a shot somewhere. I mean look at Zenon Konopka and thats the type of player Cody Bass would be if he made it to the NHL.
