I decided to once again, for the forth time, to check for a driver update for my Nvidia card. Yup, there was one. After it was installed I checked the game. The horrible problems I've been experiencing ever since the patch came out are gone. Now I just got to shake off the rust.


So double check just in case. Hope this friendly reminder helps some of you.


Some extra info:

Before the patch, things worked great. Afterwards I suffered from massive lag, weird crashes, a blue screen death, and constant kicks whenever I tried "enter battle". Whenever I actually got into a game it would appear to lag every 3 seconds of so. I also received some weird punkbuster kicks.

So far I've played 6 matches or so without a single problem.

care to mention what driver version of nvidia your using? most of us run the latest, but just in case as well, please state the version. thx.

lol,..I had the same kinda thing,..except I formatted like a month ago and some how forgot to update my GPU drivers,.I was playing this with all kinds of tweaks, forced the 800x600 blah blah blah,..I'm now playing at medium settings in 1440x900. It's like it's a whole new game.

Driver version: 8.17.11.9745
Card: Nvidia geforce 9500gt

It says the driver date is 4.3.10 but I checked for updates several times and it never came up. I thought I was up to date but apparently not. I tried just about every fix offered here including reinstalls, avg permissions/shutdown, tweaks to game files. The only change I kept were the AVG permissions. It didn't solve any of the major patch issues I had but it seemed to make my interface work a fraction of a second quicker. So the only real change that seems to have worked for me was a driver update.

Like I said, I hope that helps someone else.

I have that driver

Well. I'm telling you right now. I've made NO other changes other than updating that driver. Before hand I couldn't play at all. I know it might not help everyone but it might help a few. The AVG fix seems to have done the trick for a handful of people so maybe this will do the same.
