I am 17 years old and this is my first truck. It is a 1986 Nissian pickup and it has NO rust and is bright canary yellow. It is also a five-speed manual transmission. I have never driven a stick before and so far i have only killed it once on a hill. I have only owned it for a month now. Does anyone see any of them around anymore. I haven't and I have heard that if the transmission goes then it will cost me at least $2000 or more to replace it.

I'm mad at my truck right now. The people I got it from put a ignition switch in it so I have to flip it down to start it. But how they rigged the fuse for it was two wires with a fuse taped to the end. Well, the two wires finally melted but they melted together, so it caused my battery to go dead. My uncle fixed it or something so I'm able to turn it off with my key like all the other cars. We let it run last night for about a half hour to let it charge the battery. I turned it off and then tried to start it again. It was stone-cold dead. We put a battery charger on it last night so it charged all night. I went out to start it this morning, it started and the battery it pretty well charged, but I had no dash lights, no radio, no interior light, and no head lights or tail lights. And thing is, the lights and all worked last night before I turned off the truck.
