So I start out a fight against a 91 cab, and he has a record of 67-2 (53) or something close to that... We spend the first round feeling each other out... and I see his little cheesy tactics from the beginning. Not really cheese, he's actually pretty good. He kept countering my punches with power shots int he first round, but I managed to win it. By the second round I started leading with a jab / straight to the body then an uppercut followed by left / jab to the head right cross combos... hitting him at will for the next 4 rounds. In the 6th I got stupid and punched myself out and got caught and went down... got up and got some distance and started outboxing him again... Then my disc got a read error and the fight stopped. I'm sure I would've won that fight on points... This disc, this game locking up when looking for a fight, this server... ugh, and now I have a dnf and a loss.

Install the game. problem solved.

I have a DNF and lost to a 91 the second time I knocked him down... Would you like my ifo too? I would definitelyt like it removed. My game has locked up over 6 times today...

Yeah and my game has locked up about 10 times in the looking for fight screen... I keep having to turn it on and off...

My game locks up randomly everywhere, looking for a fight, in the middle of a fight, editing my gym...

It's is pretty much garbage the way it has been today.

I just got a dnf for no reason and a loss also. I got a loss and a you suck message..

my game has locked up a lot at the selection screen but luckily enough not in a fight

I've had the game freeze 7 times on me.. 6 of them were when I entered the game play settings menu and the other time was when I was searching for a OWC fight.. Never had a game freeze up on me as much as this game does, it's out of control. I normally just dashboard rather than turn my console off though.

unfortunately it will not let u dashboard when it freezes... u have to turn it off and back on.

Try installing the game on your hard drive. I did this and have not had the disk read error message pop up again. I about went into a rage when I got that message the first time in at the beginning of a fight against someone not nearly in my skill level. That was my only loss up till that point so I was pretty infuriated by it. I tried everything to try and get them to take that loss off so I could save my 0 but heard nothing and the tech support did not help either. Don't get your hopes up that they will erase the loss unless you have buddies working for EA. Try the install though, has worked so far for me.

I have to check to see if a HD install option is on the PS3 version, are you talking about that or the 360 version?
