Wow, that looked great. Whos the skateboarder in the white/off white fallen shoes. They looked like chris coles rippers but it wasn't him, he was goofy footed.

Haven't watched the video, but is it a safe bet it's coming our in September?

I think they're all created skaters, don't recognise the deck either...but it's all good. The only slight criticism I have that the straight ollie to the flat rail 50-50 still seem a bit floaty, the ollies down the steps seem to work a lot better because the added distance drop negates that effect, the flip tricks all work well due to the fact the added board animation take longer to get to the endpoint. That first ollie (to 50-50 grind) the guy would never have reached that rail from that distance and speed without probably smacking into the rail, but once you add a turn as he does later it seems a lot more realistic.

I think it might hit before, there is a deluge of games in September some of the big names include...

It's just i got this from the IGN Preview:

"Though a lot of the options aren't yet in the most recent build of Skate, by the time the game ships in September, you'll be able to choose from a variety of hair styles, face and body types for your character"

Why say September ship date unless they have proof? The developers were there when they played the game. But yeah September will be a VERY busy/good/expensive month for gamers.

I also think Skate can hold it's own. Not necessarily against Halo, but it's built alot of hype off of minimum advertising, and i know everyone here wants to buy on release.

The preview says that you can't select top hats. I think they mean in his preview-code, because there will be hats in the final version right?

Yeah, the US release seems to be slated for the 5th of September. The UK IGN is mostly a mirror of the US site so doesn't necessarily reflect UK dates.We've been know to get some EA stuff before the US (a week or so) so here's hoping...there maybe some info PM'ing your way in the next 24hrs ...so stay tuned

by the way, you got this spot that you could see in the beginning of the last video. The two big stairsets? Well, those stairs didn't have a handrail in that last trailer, but in this trailer it does...

What does that mean? Will you be able to build your own handrails and rails wherever you want or is it edited in the build? What do you guys think?

no you can't, I'm sure that is something that they would have mentioned. Its probably just something they added recently. Good eye though.

DAMN, the grind footy from 1:22-1:44 looks INSANE. The graphics are really come along in addition to the fluidity of animations. Yeah, some stuff is still slightly "sketchy"... but by the time the game is polished it's all gonna be gravy.

I am so impressed with this latest preview. Skate is my game of the year, hands down.
