The quest asks me to require a loaf of Flat Bread but I don't know where to get it or how to make it. It gives a hint to use the ovens in the "reception hall" but I don't know what this is.

The reception hall is attached to the castle. If you flip over to kingdom view, you'll find it.

sorry, I can't find it...does one need to build it first? there doesn't seem to be anything attached to the throne room...

You can also place your own oven. It lets you cook breads and pies
