No worries gordon....id rather wait a little longer (jury is still out if ill actually buy this minigame)
and have it done right....all these guys who are giving you crap dont realize that its better to wait 2 months and have it work right than have it release with alot of bugs...codwaw made this exact mistake, and trust me treyarch has taken a huge popularity hit because of it...
hey if we give you until november do you think you can say add:
64 player support
generous weapons selection
atleast 8 maps
bigger maps

on second thought, how bout dont waste your time with a pc version, and give this cartoon game to the console kiddies, and spend the time workin on a real bf release? one can wish cant I lol.

its nothing personal gordon, as I was a huge fan of dice and thier work. I just feel forgotten since bf2....
Ive always defended your company when others complained about bf2, mainly because atleast the game was soo damn good we wanted to spend 1200 hours learning its mistakes...and on the contrary of what the whiners say, for the mostpart it was a well made game...we have had some epic battles on that game..
although you numbers tell you that consoles are higher selling games, a poll here in your forums tells a different story...gamers choose pc over consoles more than 2:1....I just hope that your company doesnt wait too long to remember who got them to this point...your fans may go elsewhere for thier entertainment...first rule of sales...keep you core base happy...judging by what im reading in your forums you guys arent doing a good job of that...

yeah they've got something special planned for pc gamers. an especially hot steaming pile of suck.

when you tards go out and buy this, and realize i was right, don't come crying to me, because i'll ignore your tears.

I trust you Gordon to delever a good game to either the PC or XBOX (im not a fan of those ps3 players ) But dont you think that BF1943 might end up competing with BFBC? I mean BF1943 (by your word) would come out in sept, which would mean early Q4, and BFBC2 has been approx to come out late Q4, or early Q1 (winter). Just as a question, dont you see a competion between the games?

Hopefully they release some map making tools of the PC community. Then I could really care less if they make any more, just make it possible. I can foresee myself playing this game for a very long time, granted I don't have to play the same 3 maps for eternity.

Thank you for keeping us in consideration. I thought this game was going to be ported to PC. I'm suspecting the PC version of BF:C2 will be in Q1 of 2010 , only to be post poned to Q2. My senses tell me that BC2 will be ready around this time next year.

No it doesn't. I seem to remember many same day releases on the PC, some even pointing to those builds of the game being much greater in progress than their console builds. Look at Far Cry 2, the PC version of that was probably done a good 2 weeks to a month before the console versions were. It all depends where you put your resources, and with this, the PC just isn't where any of them are going. Honestly I think through all of this, DICE has killed off the chance of Battlefield 3 being successful. For one it's likely to be Multiplatform, even if now, it's constant delays are likely to kill off most of the core community for it. The same thing arguably happened to Unreal Tournament, rumors of it being designed as a console game from the ground up, and it's many delays gave way to a launch that was indifferent to most of the community of the previous game, I mean for *'s sake, more people still play UT2k4 than UT3. I guess it's a better decision economically though, console gamers tend to buy the same games over and over even when there's little new features of innovation in them, so the money is easier, and you can get lazy and still be a success.

The important thing is that when the game is released it will be GOOD and be SUPPORTED PROPERLY. If it takes you a few months longer to make an awesome game, NO PROBLEM. But if you release a half-baked product and don't even support it afterwards...

Eh guys, this is the first PC game with the Frostbite engine, obviously it was much quicker to finish the game for console versions because it was made for consoles. Let them work their magic so we don't get stuck with a crappy port.

I understand your reason for this Gordon, and I know it will probably give us a better game. BUT you guys have been at this for a while Gordon, and one should have started on the PC dev first! Its about time the loyal PC fans that have bought Millions of copies of the series, were put first once again. Tell the Greedy People closely related to the Greedy Bankers that put us into a global economic meltdown, to take a hike, and develop for PC first!

If and when a BF "3" ever comes out, I'm going to be thoroughly ticked if I see consoles version released first!

PCs are an open platform requiring additional features, support, technical consideration, and can't just be thrown out there using copy/paste.

If you aren't trying to simply make a smaller, shittier version of BF2 with a WW2 mod, then why are you using the same damn map (Wake Island)? Don't games lose their novelty factor once you start using maps from other games as your primary set?

Blasphemies! This game is going to suck and everyone knows it. Why waste the time and money producing * remakes instead of focusing those resources to make quality games...like BF2 and COD4?

People love both of these games for a few specific reasons:
- Ranking system
- Good, customizable weapons
- Decent-sized maps
- Mod-ability
- Presence of large maps and vehicles

Honestly, I could care less about the destructive aspect of the game that is being used by the marketing.
As I can remember, BF:BC had a somewhat destructive environment as well, but it didn't matter because it WASN'T MADE FOR PC!

All I have to say is that I will refuse to buy this game, considering that I already have a WW2 fps to play and wasting my money on this game might actually make me regret buying it in the first place...everytime I look at it.

So you're here wasting bandwidth until you can refuse to buy it? Yeah right.

This is just PR *, this'll be just as half baked as every late PC port. Virtually no developers support the PC like they should anymore, almost all former PC shooter centric developers and franchises have turned into console shooter franchises. The only way you can get a decent playing one on a PC these days is if it's designed first for the PC, because of it's not, it's more than likely that version is a total afterthought in the minds of the developer.

Ok here let me clear this up for every1, EA has made a release date for console that means of course they get it first. Now for PC it will later but we might get a whole new game then health regen and unlimited ammo and we might get the class styles as in bf2 if u look at it no details on PC have been released yet. but the date in September. I am a hardcore bf player i have bf1942 bf V bf2 bf: bc and bf2142 and a am waiting for bf1943 for this will be an awsome game if u let time just wined down then will have a great game XD and i found out why only console got bf bc and PC didnt. because dice tried out the commuite and was crazy about the number of copies sold so of course they will go were the money is console no disrespect for PC or console but console has a high kid factor and mostly every1 who bought bf bc will by this which means for money in there pocket and mabey more to help develop the pc... just wait and see wat the game will be i think it will be great but i really hope there is no delay in bf bc 2 so anyways just sit back and watch for this work of art XD

~Thanks, Pain

The frostbite engine was made on a PC, and the delay of any game in favor of consoles is inexcusable by any dev!

Anyone that's here saying they'll only release a game when it's ready has obviously never played many of the BF titles they've all been half done at launch, 1942 took 3 patches until they finally noticed that an anti cheat was needed, BFV is still not done, BF2 is worse now than when it originally launched (which isn't saying much) and 2142 is dying faster than a fish in the desert because of the lack of caring about the PC gamers security by DICE!

I think we PC gamers need to just stop buying these games and dedicate our hardware to Folding@home, at least then we know our hardware is being used for good and not supporting companies that don't give a rippin rats behind about us in the first place!

I've dedicated 3 of my CPU cores and 2 of my 3 GPUs to folding. DICE will never get another dime from me until they come clean and are truthful and honest with the PC community about being a second thought in their minds anymore!
