I'd have to disagree with that. My coaching feedback was always fairly accurate, and for the most part, pretty general anyway. "Watch the turnovers" and "Hit the net" don't really steer players in the wrong direction, whether or not those tips actually reflect how they just played the game.

I love the idea of a draft.... it saves you having to close your eyes, hold down the triggers and count to 10.... its what i did anyway

I'm really excited for Be a Pro and the improved Dynasty.

I know it is so small but having a Trading Block is going to make a huge difference for me. That and the ability to hire and fire coaches and other staff is going to be freaking awesome.

Can't wait for this game!!!!

Shorter EASHL seasons is exactly what is needed. I have a friend in a top 10 team and they've played over 1000 games which is INSANE. Being human and winning EASHL are mutually exclusive in NHL 09. NHL 10 sounds better but I think they can do more with NHL 11.

I still think they need to add weekend tournmanents or even the ability to have an OTP single elimination tournament which lasts over the span of 4-6 rounds played consecutively (so it would be the length of a 1vs100 show, 90 mins to 2 hours).

All of the winners of the mini tournaments would be put into wildcard playoffs and the best teams in the wildcard would go on to face the winners of the EASHL cups in the finals (call it EA Champions League).

That would be perfect to allow casuals to get into the game, because right now theres only a few hundred people who can have a realistic shot at enjoying and progressing in EASHL due to the fact that in 09 the only way to be successful is to play dozens of games every week. And 10 will still have that problem because people will still be playing hundreds of games in a 4 week period. Only closed tournaments with a set amount of games can solve that.

They also need to add drop in/drop out within games and pausing enabling cpu (with good defensive AI but not so good offensive ai) ala left 4 dead because people have lives and can't sit at their consoles for an extended period of time.

absolutely agree....

would REALLY love if the CBA details of free agency are included as well.....RFA, UFA, no-trade/movement clauses......BUT...it took them this long to add a block, so i won't hold my breath and just be happy the block is in

I love this info. But I'm not going to hold my breath and expect it in 10. I won't believe all this stuff until one of the Mods release it. Even still if this info is true I like the idea of changing the Dynasty mode name. It shows that they're heading in a new direction with it...

I'm not really believing any of this until I see hear from the dev's mouths themselves, but this seems almost impossible to me. I'm not buying it.

Agreed. The game would need completely automated tournament software online to drive this. I don't believe NHL is anywhere near completion on such software when you consider how behind the times their online group is for all EA Sports products.

Rumor has it. I mean, I posted that when I first read it; I believe it more now than before, but I would still like to see it in a blog or actual preview before jumping on-board the monthly EASHL championship bandwagon.

Yeah I definitely hope the CBA is in but the news about hiring and firing staff is so much more than what I expected this year already. Hopefully it is in though!

hope they fix stats in Dynasty. Crosby, Malkin, and Ovechkin should be leading the league in scoring or close to the top every year. Right now, they all do around 90 points a season which is totally inaccurate

anyway, this looks really cool. now that WE'VE talked about the new features, maybe EA can talk about them and some new ones

If i may add...bring back the fantasy draft. I find that the fantasy draft makes things equally difficult between all team. I did this in madden 09 and found that it made the game more exciting because the teams overall range was between 91 and 81. In my case, making the game challenging even when on all-madden.

My Two Cents

Except the achievements list that just came out pretty much confirms it! Gold, silver, and Bronze medals for EASHL?!
