First of all you dont register your Booster packs .. IF YOU HAVE BOUGHT the complete collection you will have everything you need ... the only desktop links you should have are Battlefield 2 and Battlefield Special Forces

the rest are just maps (extra new maps ) within these games ....

If you have downloaded it ok then you have already registered it .. HOWEVER TO PLAY THESE extra maps (booster packs) you have to have the same name on gamespy as your soldier you login with to play .. ONLY THAT NAMED soldier that links can play the maps ..

I bought the Booster Packs seperate a few years ago. I am trying to get back into BF2 again, but the registration links are all broken, and I cannot register the expansions...I'm infuriated here. Armored Fury had my favorite maps save for those that came in the original release of BF2.

you can only play your expansion maps /booster maps with the same id you purchased them with .. gamespy and battlefield accounts have to match ... both soldier name and gamespy nick ... along with the same email address ... I dont know if that will help you hun .. but thats all I know sorry

I bought the Complete collection a couple days ago, but every time I try to play on either Euro Forces or the Armored Fury servers. I tried to delete the account I had made for it so I could match it with my Gamespy account, but it doesnt delete.

I bought Euro Forces, excited by the prospect of being able to play on a new map... but that was three years ago.

In that time I finished school, got a degree and worked abroad for 6 months.

Yet having tried to play the damn thing last night, it gave me the same 'error' it did 3 years ago.

'You must purchase Euro Forces before you can play........ etc'.

Perhaps the new patch will make both booster packs playable but at the moment I'm utterly disgusted; both with EA and DICE.

ah, good to know that what we paid to get doesnt matter anyway

And yes, I bought theBF2 complete collection download... And can only play BF2 and SF. It seems they STILL don't bother to fix what people paid for. Typical EA.
I shouldnt have let myself be pressured to buy another EA game.

My Complete Collection DVD worked just fine the first time I installed it (which was a long while back).

However, I had to reinstall it due to a HD prob and now it won't connect to AF/EF servers.
BF2 and SF run just fine.

I've read through this thread and the "fixes" are not working for me.

I completely uninstalled BF2, used a couple different reg cleaners to remove all traces of it (including all files), reinstalled from DVD, installed the latest patch, tried manually installing AF/EF from DVD, reinstalled patch, checked my ID's, manually updated pb, etc. etc.

I've jumped through all the hoops and still it tells me to purchase the booster packs.

What's a grunt to do

Problem solved! Mine was indeed a case of mistaken identity.
I got into this mess due to there being multiple possible accounts registered with multiple entities for the same piece of software -- i.e., GameSpy, account.EA.com and the "regular/main" EA.com can all have different account setups.

As it turns out, my account.ea.com name was incorrect, even though all the other data was proper and looked right in BF2 itself, had no probs with PB, etc. -- I must have changed this long ago and forgot.
To further aggravate matters, the account.ea.com password didn't get updated to my new "regular" ea.com one and I was just fortunate enough to have kept my old password in a notepad file when I changed it!
So now I have two different passwords to access what should be a single EA account. EA really needs to put some polish on their account handling.

At any rate, if you think mismatched account data might be your problem, check the post from the Admin "nsvr" on this page (3rd post down):

http://forums.bf2stats.net/battlefield-2-complete-collection-help-needed-please-t5961.html

It describes how to access your account.ea.com data and edit your player name to equal that which you used to register your AF/EF boosters.
You'll also find your registration keys in the My Games tab. If your keys are there, chances are the problem is mismatched accounts.
You don't need to move the profile folder to desktop as that post suggests, but if you decide to edit your Profile.con file it'd certainly be a good idea to backup the original first -- of course, you can just Retrieve your account in BF2 if things go badly.

Good luck!
