They cant get 4 right and they are already talking about 5??? Give us REAL button controls EA. Config 3 please. You got me this time around but I am not dropping 60 bux on anything that has EA on it ever again. Should of had the game complete with button control when it shipped and then you give us this crappy config 5/6 download. Was that to just shut us up? "heres the button control guys" i really feel like Ive been had,Thats cool though. It will never happen again.

They passed the wishlist off to the rest of the staff(I was told in a email) They can't comment on what will make it...that will take away from the wow factor. I hope there is alot of shock and excitement put in the next game...not the bad kind too.

I don't even want to hear talk about Round 5 already. This game just came out in June and there's already talk about Round 5 !? C'mon ! Round 4 is a great game despite some of the issues. I want to see more DLC to add to the current game. When round 5 does come out , I'm not going to buy when it first comes out. I'll wait for it to go down in price. I'm not paying $ 60 for any game anymore. I'll be playing FNR4 for a very long time and get my money's worth.

I know how you feel, but most people want to wait until the game is announced and start making wishlists. The producers asked for the wishlist. They are going trying to let the fans have an early crack at having their ideas in the game instead of what the producers want or think is right. I want Fight Night to grow and by you saying we already have a great game is stunting it's growth.
The producers said they are not finished with DLC and patches. They said, this were on the podcast we had them on.

I sometimes contribute suggestions for this game and improvements. I already said this game has some issues, but the good outways the bad in this game. So it's wrong for me to say this a great game ? I don't think so. I think it is a great game and much improved over FNR3. I'm still addicted to playing it even after now . That says a lot about this game. I'm sticking by my statement . Sure you can always improve it with little things here and there, but I'm enjoying this game for a long time.

xbox.t0yz0r wrote:maybe DLC should be free to make up for the fact that we all bought an untested game (yes im still crapping on about that, why couldnt they just playtest it properly one day of real gamers playing would have found their issues long before release, i dont know how anyone can dispute this since within a few days of the game being released GAMERS found every possible way to smash their way through a fight in as quick a time as possible
considering i was one of those playtesters (and a REAL gamer) i feel the need to dispute that statement. granted there may have been others in there that were not necessarily "hardcore boxing fans" and didn't know what to look for, but in the short time that i got to test the game i felt the overall good outweighed the things were glaringly obvious. we didn't get a chance to try out the CAB so i can't comment on that stuff. as far as the gameplay goes, when you stress test a game that is 85-90% complete and the only basis for comparison are all of the other boxing games, there are only so many changes you can suggest that are within the realm of realism. animation flaws aside, i didn't even notice things like the "glued feet" until i bought the game and played against another human opponent because the computer never pressure spammed me the way wack people do (testers get their own isolated booths and play solely against the computer). mind you, i noticed the "glued feet" effect within 3 online fights but that is just not something i even thought to look for when testing because there was no reason to look for it based on previous editions of the game. i based a lot of my critiques on existing problems/flaws that i found, and suggested things that i felt would make it better based on things that i've always wanted to see in a boxing game.
i can tell you that i definitely brought up my concerns with the stamina issue (spamming, the lack of effect a heavier fighter leaning on a lighter fighter had etc), the counter-freeze window (which i felt was an updated version of the parry paralyzation), the inclusion of extravagant fouls, the exclusion of the taunts, the lack of incidental contact when fighting on the inside, the unrealistic signature punches... which i don't think should be eliminated outright, but only boxers that have sig punches should get them (ie. the ali shuffle, srl's bolo etc) and sig punches shouldn't be made up for boxers who clearly don't have one (have you ever seen manny do that stupid shoulder wiggle before throwing his left hand?).
sorry for ranting, i just wanted to defend the small percentage of us testers who truly are boxing fans and tried to make suggestions to ensure a truer representation of the sweet science.

I agree and I'd like to think that we (as testers) may have had a little help in changing it for the better. The stamina, although still not where I would have liked it (at the time it was released) was better than the version I played (it was better than the original demo for that matter).

I truly hope I'm a game tester on the next Fight Night game. I'm not satisfied with this game and I would be lying if I said I was. People are complaining about what I said they would.

well im glad to hear they did SOME decent testing at least but it is a bit frustrating they couldnt do a beta test in the demo before putting out the final release, maybe next time a few months before release they could upload a beta to xbox live with 3 fighters and let people fight it out, hell make us pay for it as DLC so maybe it could work off the FNR4 engine, i dont claim to know how this is possible by the way but hopefully you understand what im getting at, let the people who are going to buy this game (us) help them to make it better BEFORE release so that it DOES fly off the shelves next time
I sincerely hope round 5 is the most amazing game to grace this planet or i doubt id trust an EA sports game again, ill stick to their FPS's whose development is generally hard to mess up these days with so many of them around lol

Awesome work Poe and I'm sure I'm speaking for a lot of other forum members when I say thanks very much to you and the other guys too for your efforts in getting this together. A bit of credit should go to EA too for being prepared to listen to what the fans are saying. If they pull half of these suggestions off FNR5 will make for a hellova game!!
