ESRB says its M
That's only a random poster from Gamespot saying that, not really Gamespot. We'll learn the rating as soon as DICE or ESRB releases it. Also on Battlefield.com it still says RP-T not T-M.
ya, i know it says on Gamespot M next to the ESRB, but the thing is thats what gamespot put in, thats not the official one. Dice and ESRB will have a rating soon enough. I still think blood, strong language and violence has the possibility of being T. Thats pushing the limit of the T rating, but ya....
Exactly! The first game had strong language, violence, and alcholic refences, which are all in BFBC2 including blood which was made like it was in uncharted, it only flashes a little. I believe DICE is leaning towards a T rating, not an M.
Totally. Let me ask everyone this. If all BF games have been T, why change that now? The blood will add some realism, but they didn't overdue it. All of you that say its M just want it M because of some kids bugging you. Well get over it. Also, if you look at it, there are probably more teens that play than adults. And we have more time as we don't have to work and homework doesn't take forever. I was looking at some surveys and it said that like 97% of teens play video games compared to that 53% of adults. Ok, those numbers might not be exact, but the point is lots of teens play video games and adults do to, but why would they a game that was rated T before (meaning BC1) which was quite popular, as a matter of fact, on the leader boards it went to like 500,000. Thats pretty good and now they have blood to which might appeal to some more. I think that making it M would cost them some money rather than making it T and that would allow anyone to buy the game. Cause I bet a lot of teens go to the store and buy some of there games and if they are M you need someone over 17 to be there. This way they won't lose that money so teens can walk in, buy the game, not be asked about age or anything and leave.

umm. is Sony a part of making this game, uhh.... Nope. If that is official then who is that Brad Bennett guy? Now, i know this looks official and all, but the ESRB hasn't done anything yet. I don't think the info has been submitted to them yet.

I like how you think, those are the main reason why DICE should make this game rated T, but we don't have a say in the ratings. Only the ESRB does. Still, I think there's a 75% chance of it being rated T, which I want it to be. Lower the rating, more players you have. Take Call of Duty 4 and WaW for example, a lot of under-aged players turned to battlefield when COD4 came out, because of what? Lower ratings. To all those people who want it to be rated M, I understand you want a more mature game so younger players can't play, but think of this, IF it gets to be rated T, would you still buy it? Maybe you'll will or maybe you'll won't, mostly likely you will. If there is some player in the game making you feel annoyed, mute him. It simpler than complaining over and over about whether this game will be rated M or T. I guess we have to wait until the beta comes out to find out if this game is rated M or T material.

Nope, Microsoft is!
How ignorant to even think that someone could make that mistake.

Screw you kiddies and your "I want T rated!" crap. You say we're the ones whining, well excuse the older crowd for wanting to play with people who are 18+. People our age are generally more mature, work better in teams, and don't glitch/gank/act like idiots like some of the younger crowd. I hope this game is rated M, which would be a great step in the right direction for the battlefield franchise. Mature, team/squad based gameplay with hopefully a shortage of 'kiddies' would be right up my alley.

those aren't my main reasons. I would think though that they would care about money and they would choose the way to make the most. and it is true that a lot of teens left when COD4 came out and took BC1 cause of the rating difference. If they rate this M, where will all the players not allowed to play M games go? all of those COD players that left would have no where to go (in my opinion) if this is rated M too. The game would be just as good as if it were T.

ok, so you are saying that all teens go out there and play as individuals and don't give a crap about team play. I know for a fact I don't like that. Cause if you die, who is there for you, to avenge you. And you also think most teens are immature right. Well go on with that crap. This is some reasons why you can join a clan. You work together. You learn you need to do so. and with new squad play it may be different.

I just don't get how there is any debate whether its rated "M" or not, the gameplay videos have featured the F-bomb in it and everything. That automatically constitutes and M rating.

like you never heard that language in BC1. It had strong language too.
OK, I will stay neutral on this until I play the beta. Ok, its not like I am saying "I want it to be T". I am sitting 50/50 on the T to M thing. When I play the beta I will know if it is T or M material.

Alright, I took out some parts of your message. "Screw you kiddies..." I don't believe that is the kind of maturity you were talking about. "People our age are generally more mature..." That's false because of your first three words in your responce. Exactly, grow up and why accuse the younger crowd if your just saying bad things about them, some of them just play to enjoy it, don't we all?

Does anyone honestly care? Halo 3 is rated M, and look how many under 18 own and play that game! I'm not even 18 (close enough though)

I think that we all have-and have been-at the conclusion that even if the ESRB rates this game "M" kids will still get their hands on it.
