Well, I received my Qualifier Prize today, the Gillette Fusion MVP Razor. Just what every self respected Skin Head needs

The Knockout rounds start Feb 8th, but alas I seriously doubt I'll progress much further as there are some really talented Tour players through who can shoot way lower than I can, plus COD MW2 has taken over my gaming time these days.

But hey, I got a nice wee prize for sitting on my sofa playing video golf, so I can't grumble

Depends what the conditions are, but fully expect k2damoon or Neilos to be on that plane to Florida. I'm hoping EA will crank it up to 11 and go Extreme for the knockouts, but I doubt that'll happen.

Unfortunately I had alot going on in my life a couple months back. Plus kinda fell out of love with the game before that after hearing one thing and another...maybe next time.

I do have a question regarding the Knockout stage.

If the qualifying stages were offered in Amateur, Pro and Tour Pro, why then is the Knockout Stage, 4 rounds in Pro mode only?.

Why not have 4 round event consisting of 1 round Amateur, 1 Pro, 1 Tour Pro and 1 Extreme.

Surely that would provide the best all round Champion golfer.

I agree totally with that, it basically alleviates all the tour players who played there rounds. I would have loved to see something different for the knockout, remembering last year we had to beat gamernet challenges as many and as fast as possible and some on the final day were ridiculous.

I personally feel this tournament is down to who has the time and patience to map out each hole and make the shot.

Considering I am questioning if eligible or not I am not sure if will waste my time on this, I really am starting to feel that this game is calling all "obssesive compulsive" players to keep going - lol. There is way too many tournaments, and way too much course mapping etc. I wont lie I too can map a course, but when you got family and work it is a bit tough to be on your game at night every night.

What gets me when we played in the finals last year, it was tour pro, sawgrass, expert pins, lightning fast stroke sim (1 try only), and then the winner played Tiger. So why they did not make this single try, who knows?

Anyhow good luck to all.

I'm a little surprised that the format for the knockouts aren't single try only - maybe EA can't do it on a 4-round tournament, or feel it's unfair? After all, lose your connection and that's your whole tournament down the swanny.

Or maybe they also can't set-up a multi-format 4-round tourney....? (ie, 1x amateur, 1x pro, 1x tour pro and 1x extreme).

Hey ho - you play the cards you're dealt with but....

Man, slotting an Extreme on the last round would have been pretty sweet and definitely would have made things a lot more interesting - and would've frightened the bejeezus out of the mappers lol

Fair point about disconnections but as has been said something with a little more imagination could've been achieved,you'd think!!
Extreme in the 4th round would have been enjoyable.
