Tyler Thigpen had a better QB Rating in '08 than Matt Cassel did in '09.

No I'm shocked
1. You used madden as a source.
2. Madden was that stupid.

You fail. He meant a higher quarterback rating in the NFL

Whoa, I'm talking about stats. I would never use Madden as a source. Thigpen had a 76.0 QB Rating in the '08 season and Cassel had a 69.9 QB Rating.

Cassel threw more yardage... and Cassel was a game manager.

No commitment? They signed him to a 6 year deal a couple years ago. Also, Luke McCown is much better than Russell.
A couple years ago isn't this year, and this offseason they've seemed like if he fails even slightly, he's getting booted.

They did that to try to get him to play better, We dont have anyone to replace him and Russel isnt going to replace him if Garrard did get benched. Garrard is better than Russel and McCown and likely isnt in danger of being replaced until next year that is assuming we draft a QB out of the large pool of QB's next year.

So they're suppose to extend his contract every year? I know he didn't have the greatest year last season but I have no reason to believe his job is in danger this year and even if it were, how would a guy that is considered to be the biggest bust of all time be an improvement?
