I said it before and I'll say it again. The demo is gonna be a tiny chunk of the GTA sized map skate will feature. Not only that, but skateboarding games(like skateboarding itself) have so much replay value that you're going to play the crap out of it no matter what.
Not to mention all the different challenges the actual game will have.

I just want the demo to come out soooooooooooooooooooo bad. Honestly Black Box.. You have my money, I already have the game pre-ordered in full. We need a tiny taste...

Regarding Demo Spoiling the game...

I'm expecting the demo to be that little concrete park that they first let publications play when the game was finally seeing the light of day or if you can't remember back that far the one that's at the beginning of the more recent video.

I also wouldn't be surprised if they didn't allow you to perform all the tricks but only a certain amount in the demo- which is fine for me. I just want to get a general feel for the game, have the sensation of playing a skating game with the Flick-It controls. And to see how the game looks actually running on my HDTV and not my computer monitor in a compressed video format.

That would be perfect I think, it'd give you a limited taste of the game- a small chunk that makes up a knuckle of San Van. And enough to get the idea of the controls without spoiling much if any of the game when it finally comes out.

The only limitation I don't want in the demo is a time limit.

everyone, why did they update the main page with two videos that are the same ones we have seen before?

because they were originally on other sites and we already saw em, ya, but for people who dont check the messageboards and dont look around other than that will see the videos now.

i no ive already posted 10000 times in this single thread but, i watched the video again and i think it is the tutorial in the background while he's explaning, that you will experience before you play skate. a couple times when jay is talking in the bottom left corner you can see like a stick, and when they are doing the grabs you can see the triggers on the screen in the bottom left. some are around :45, 1:02 especially.

I just want the demo, I can't wait any longer

in regards to people saying they will know the game if the demo comes out and all....it will be different lipsliding a flat rail, than a rail down a 10 set....its all going to be different remeber that. its not going to be as easy to kickflip the 3 set in the park as it will to kickflip a 8 set out in the city. i cant wait for the demo or the game.

for those who cant read german...check out the section where "kommende spiele" steht it is on the right...there the release date for skate is set on the 30th of july...did you guys hear somthing else since all only mention september...

I really hope that's a halfway accurate release date, but they've always said they'll release the game when it's done. I'm PRAYING for a July release, but as the days go on i just can't see it happening. When the game was announced i always imagined it being released roughly 6 months before TH, i didn't think they'd be release within 2 months.

Looking good, I remember a couple months ago it was impossible to find info for this game, now it's finally flooding in and I couldn't be happier with how it's shaping up. Also great to hear the release date for early September, Septembers gonna be huge for games !!!! *cough..halo3..cough*.

I can't wait to get my hands on this game every preview I see has me drooling. I still can't believe they are finally making a game like this!!!! at last!

Ha yeh, i know i say i wont play the demo, but when it hits i know i'll be addicted to it!
I guess i'd rather wait til the actual game comes out to see the culmination of the teams work, and when i can play the game completely, rather than play a bit.

There is no way this game will be released on 30th of July. I don't know what is wrong with some people here, i don't know why you think that date is right. It would have been announced if it was that soon.

The game will be out in September.
