apparently dallas wouldn't accept goligoski's terrible turnovers as part of the trade for neal and niskanen so he left them with letang and martin.
orpik, dupuis, adams and conner were about the only guys who had decent games in game 2.
the sad thing is, as poorly as the penguins played they were only about 2 inches away from making it a game if that bad-angle shot goes in and michalek's point shot was a little lower on the crossbar.

CP, I mean no disrespect and I'm going to put this as politely as I possibly can...
Our PP sucked when Goligoski was here and it sucked when both Crosby and Malkin were healthy. Hell, it has sucked for the last three years straight. Do you honestly believe our PP would be any different if Goligoski were still here?

Ya, PP has been a problem for forever, I just don't get how it can be SO completely inept SO consistently...it's like, they literally make every single mistake they can every opportunity they are given to, and never make any improvement.
Crosby isnt going to make it any better either, he'll give us a huge offensive jumpstart but as far as powerplay goes he's not going to magically take it over and make it work, it sucked even when he was at his best, hell it might be even worse because they might not be on the same page after 4 months.
I see other teams (Like the Lightning) have this magical powerplay where everybody's on the same page, they make 3 beautiful passes and score really fast...well maybe not score everytime but these other PP's are just in sync and get good shots off every time, and with us it's like everybody's confused, shoots way up high or to the side and misses the net, makes horrible passes that either go nowhere near their target or to a target that's not paying attention, and our pointmen...I don't even want to talk about it but let's just say they're horrible as well.
If I were a Pens fan I wouldn't want him to come back this year. He will stick out like a sore thumb... people know he is hurt and will go after him harder, not to mention one big hit and he can be the second Lindros.

That's what I have a hard time understanding. We come down the ice without a plan when we are on the PP. When we go up a man, we look absolutely puzzled and when we actually do get settled in, we force our passes and look to make the pretty play. We don't keep it simple.
My only suggestion?
After the season is over, Shero needs to go out and find an assistant coach who is a PP specialist. It has been quite obvious for some time now that Bylsma is absolutely clueless when it comes to getting that PP to click. I realize the man is reaching God-like status in this city and what he has accomplished this season is nothing short of amazing, but he has failed when it comes to getting that PP to produce at the level where it should be producing.
