As for numbers, the winner is determined by average score so I'm not sure where having more on one side is an advantage, in fact if could be argued it's a disadvantage too.

I think it's a great idea and appreciate EA making the effort to do something where everyone can join together for their side as a much larger community - playing for your country. Club pride is great, country pride is even greater IMHO.

Our website has been running Ryder Cup events among our members for a few years now and I can tell you it's one our most exciting events. Great ribbing between both sides and tons of pressure when representing your homeland.

At least give it try. If the consensus is that it's not fun they can always try something else new.

I've already posted at TGV asking CCC for clarification on how this is being setup.

If it's a friendly event that is run in a fashion where everyone just posts their scores and results are tabulated and some general ribbing ensues all in the name of fun (similar to what happens in our Tin Cup) then I intend to participate and you'll see me front lines with the ribbing....I've met some great guys that way....

If the intention is to get together with players from other leagues and form a private discussion forum where basically the idea is to bash our friends and teammates from across the pond then that's not what I signed up for and I'm not interested.

I'm sure it will be based on the 1st option so I will definately give it a try and see how it flies. I know EA is trying to come up with new ideas all the time and kudos for the effort....it can't be easy to keep it fresh.

Does that sound more reasonable?

Its just a tourney...North America(thanks ccc) vs the world. You dont have to bash anyone. Its not like one of your tgv members calling us the bitter beerleague or anything. You dont have to trash talk, just compete. Take it all in fun.

ill put my thoughts in i guess..

in my opionion, it doesnt really matter if u get split up from the league you are in. these challenges are done by a collective group of individual performances. u can carry your preperation into whatever team you play for. As for playing against your own league members, its not that big a deal. ive played many times throughout the past couple years against and with players from multiple leagues, including against my own. ive takin and given a beating to many players from every league i would think. Bottom Line, its all in fun and it'll be changed to another format before ya know it.
