On an unrelated note, is there anyway to change the Jets "3 bar" coaching? I know it doesn't affect anything but Rex Ryan is next to clueless out there. He went for two 2 point conversion instead of extra points. Had we kicked the PAT, we would have been down three points on the last drive. A field goal should have sent it to overtime. He wasted a timeout by changing the play on a two point conversion? Get with the program Rex.
Rex Ryan, cluess? really? If he hadnt gone for 2, the dolphins probaly never would have gone for 2 (i honestly have no idea why they did anyway). Its real easy to critize when things dont go right, but at the time, it makes sense. Theres a lot more to coaching than deciding to go for 2 or not. With mangini's players, and without kris jenkins, the Jets have the #2 rated defense in the NFL. They players are more determined and playing as a team. Rex Ryan is one of the best coaches ive seen in a long time for the Jets.

Hi guys, I'm a big jets fan and own the Jets in an online franchise right now.
I'm looking for help as to what part of the team needs improved. I don't have Edwards because we started the league before that roster update but apart from that everything is the same.
I'm looking into getting Edwards in the same deal as real life as our Browns owner just quit but will have to wait and see on that one.
I know our WR core is poor but if I get Edwards it should be fine.
I've got the 4th pick in the draft so should get a top player but question is where should I improve in the team?
I need as much help as I can get

The Jets run a dive with Thomas Jones to start every game. They usually get about 2 yards on it. Rex is a good coach in comparison to recent Jets coaches, but we're talking abut Herm and Mangini. Not exactly big company.

Is that the new job of team captains? To go to other teams threads and brag about how good their team that gained just over 100 yards of offense is?

It made perfect sense: if the dolphins had just kicked a field goal instead of going for 2 for no reason, they would have had to go for 2. In fact, they got it initially, but it was called back on a questionable call.
But Rex Ryan is the best Jets coach in the last 15+ years in my opinion. The defense has not been this good since the days of the New York Sack Exchange. In fact, theyre probably better. About yout point of the short runs, If you ANYTHING about football, you know that these runs set up long runs and the passing game. The yardage is just a bonus. No team in the leauge actually expects to gain 4 yards on every carry, especially when everyone knows youre runnning the ball with a rookie QB. You poind the rock, weaken the defense, and you break some as TJ has done several times. Rex Ryan doesnt even call the offensive plays, so if you have a problem with the offense, get mad at Shotty.
And the reason the Jets started rolling on offense? because of the threat of the run. He had a mismatch on keller on his TD, because the fins were playing the run. Braylon had single coverage on his TD, because they were again playing the run. To score 25 pts with a rookie QB against a pretty solid defense is pretty good.
but i digress. Increase"
1. David Harris - He gets like a sack every game it seems like. At lease 88-90
2. Sione Pohoua - hes no kris jenkins, but hes still getting a god push as the jets stop the #2 rushing attack with him in the middle. should be a 72-76
3. Calvin Pace - 4 sacks in 2 games. about an 85-87
4. Braylon Edwards - making some incredible catches in key spots. I would put him at 90
5. Thomas Jones - hes running about as good and consistiently in the AFC right now. 89-90.
6. Brick - i dont know if hes gotten beat yet. 86-87
Decrease
1. Alan Fanaca - hes good, but not 96 good. got beat on the big 3rd down that got sanchez sacked
2. I honestly cant think of anyone else to decrease

Ok I have a real question, why is D'Brickashaw Ferguson only 80 rated? That is getting me upset, the guy is having a GREAT year yet gets no improvements? Hes been a TOP 5 LT this year, he had one semi bad game vs the Saints. He should be in the 90s IMO or at the VERY least high 80s like 88-89. But come on with him only being 80, does EA realize he is NOT our worst OL? I rather have Ferguson be rated in the 90s and Faneca be dropped than having Ferguson rated so low.
EA really needs to watch him and learn something, hes not BAD!!! Hes one of the TOP LT in the game, PLEASE EA rethink this and make an adjustment, he warrants some boost in his rating. Its frustrating being a die hard Jets fan and seeing arguably our BEST OL rated the worst, I will say that Mangold and Ferguson are our BEST OL. With probably Woody being 3rd then Faneca and Moore.

I understand that short runs set up the ddep ball, but its far too predictable. Run a different play. Try a counter, a sweep, anything. They dive everytime. OBviously you can't get 4 yards everytime, but you can try.

well, they used to until washington went down. honestly, TJ and shonn greene simply arent those type of runners. besides, we dont get stuffed all that often anyway, at least not any more than most teams do.

the only thing that i need to add to this post is Revis definitly needs a speed boost and coverage recognition.Definitly top 7 corner in the NFL or do i need to re mention who he has covered to and how many yards they got.
And cmon Thomas jones is the 5th ranked running back in the NFL right now. so why not give him the justice he deserves and give him an increase in speed, trucking, finese move, juke, and power. The only other downgrade would be our fullback.

Excuse me? Have you watched any Jets games? Revis is definately a top 2 CB, might be even the best.
