Hey Guys,

Wanted to throw a question out there to you. Some of you that have been following my twitter may have already seen this, but for those of you who haven't, please feel free to share your thoughts in here.

Would you guys be interested in DLC that provided new locations to freekskate, but without any challenges?

I would, that's what I've been doing with the current DLC, i didn't even know there was challenges until I went to change my deck and saw new things in my career map. I like the idea of new areas to skate every once in a while keeps things fresh, i've been skating DLC since it came out and now its fun to go back to old NSV spots that you haven't skated in awhile.

I would say, if this route is to be pursued, you have to keep in mind the value formula, you're taking something away from the product so you either would need to add something in its place (more area?) or lower the price so that consumers feel they are receiving the same value.

YES YES YES YES

Don't bother with challenges and stuff if it's taking too much time. I just want to skate new places, i'm not concerned with the presentation surrounding them. Personally, the challenges in the DLC were kind of throwaway. They weren't done badly, it's just that there's only so much you can do. Most people have gone through all the career by now and done it all. I can grind this rail in a challenge or I could just freeskate it and nothing would change. Know what I mean?

My idea for a price point:

Extra area DLC: 400 ms points OR Free if you've purchased both the Dyrdek Fantasy Plaza & Classic pack (even throw filmer pack as a requirement if needed).

The reason behind this:

The Fantasy Plaza is a little small for 5 bucks, and really is more of a promotional item for his show then large add on. The Classic pack is fantastic, but it's all stuff from the first game so we've played it before. New areas is something that everyone would really enjoy, especially if they're as well built as the rest of the town.

Essentially it'd be a "buy 2, get one free" mentality for this pack. People who didn't buy either the Fantasy Plaza or the Classic Pack will realize that if they buy the other pack, they can get some great new stuff for free as sort of a thank you for supporting the game from EA. Or they could just get the pack they wanted (if they don't want free stuff lol)... Either way, EA still makes 5 bucks. People who don't own either pack will be thinking "well, I can either get this new pack (thus paying for it as is), or I could spend 5 bucks more and get 3 new packs, bargain!" Thus, EA makes $10 and consumers are happier for getting extra value for their money.

Anyone else think this would be nice?

Also, if you are going to make new areas without challenges (Which I support!), then PLEASE attach them to existing parts of the game map... Levels are so 90s and it's just a lot nicer to be able to roll into a new place then to have to go to a menu and load it up, then load another location if you want to leave.

Totally. I think people would have paid 500 and not 400 for the classic pack if it connected CC and the school. At least the bare minimum to roll to both, with a few of the side spots thrown in of course.

One day I hope all of the suburbs comes to DLC, although for old game content it's hard to say how much i'd pay for it. Maybe 600 for all of it, connected. I just can't honestly see it being worth any more, especially since it could be copy paste if there's no challenges, although unfortunately for skate 1 players there's that market for people who don't have skate 1, who would pay more for such a large area.

I'd prefer completely new totally original areas though. I mean I want the suburbs, but you can't pull good stuff out your butt and skate 2 may become boring (to most players) before they can make some DLC worth buying, for money worth their time, if you get what I mean.

Sorry for the long post I just kept typing even if it doesn't matter.

i would for sure like to see new locations, the career (for many) is just something they go through and then the game is all about making videos and just freeskating around.

also, i would be very interested in seeing real life spots! or another cool idea would be giving a deecent area of just free space, then have tons of moveable objects surrounding the area to let us create our own spots..

ultimately, my answer = YES

Good idea but this is EA. I am pretty sure EA has full control of the DLC and marketing. Anyways DLC, Filmer Pack is the best thing. Only complaint about that is the slomo. Its not easy to do ramps with keyframes everywhere. Keys + markers don't get along.

I think you guys should just work on some new locations? I was always wondering would we get the Wii Skate It locations? I wanna see some legit looking skate spots. You wanna hear something funny? I found the nicesssst double set ever and guess what?

yes, alot of us here just like to freeskate and film. I would love to see some real life locations like Love Park, city hall and fdr in Philly. Barcelona would be pretty sweet too.

Love Park/City Hall for sure.

I wish I wish. FDR ehhh its good but we already have like spillway and all that. I doubt they would be able to cover Barcelona because theres spots scattered everywhere. Usually game companies send out teams of Photographers and its not cheap. But Love park wouldn't be hard shoot id send in a million detailed pictures if they put it in development. It be nice if they put a little section of downtown Philly Love/City Hall/Dominos ledges.

Fdr, Burnside, Washington St, any diy parks that are large. I love the Spillway park, but it's just not the same as the real places. I think that those of us who have or do skate some of these spots that we are talking about, would love to have them in the game. Or having spots that most of us will never get to or can skate, like Love (RIP, or is it back? you guys talk about it like it's a spot again), or spots in Barcelona. I would love to see real replicas in the game, and could care less about the challenges. What I would like to see most is having the spots integrated into the existing game, if it's not too much work (i assume it is more difficult than I know). Keep the spots coming, thanks for the chance to give my 2 cents.

Yes. At this point, new challenges aren't what makes me want to play this game. Just new spots to film at and freeskate would be a welcome addition. One question though, would they be accessible through carreer mode?
