For everyone who wants to change his/her NFS:W installation:

1) download the tool "Junction" from the microsoft --> site http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/sysinternals/bb896768.aspx

2) extract it to your windows/system32 folder

3) locate your NFS:W installation, leave the "Electronic Arts" directory and move the complete "Need for Speed World" directory (example: e:\Games\Need for Speed - World)

4) go to "Start -> Run" and enter "cmd"

5) for WinXP enter:

junction "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Electronic Arts" "E:\Games\Need For Speed - World\Need For Speed World" (dunno if the path is correct in english, because i've just translated it in english though)

german folder for WinXP NFS:W: "C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\Electronic Arts"

feel free to add the folders in english, german or whatever language you want for windows vista and windows 7 in here too (maybe shortcuts too, like %appdate%).

how comes that my nfs world installation folder is only 15mb, where is the rest I cant locate it on my comp. Under appdata is only usersettings file.

I dotn get it it downloaded over 700mb and game works fine

On Windows 7, the game gets installed under C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\Need For Speed World by default. The installer/launcher is in Program Files, and user settings seem to be in the third directory.

I don't know what the path is in XP.

You have to enable hidden folders, but I do not know where is the path to XP

its here in the Default user acc on XP

the file is about 1.7Gb
