The passing offense and defense is my main gripe about heisman. the qbs are perfect. Breaking sacks and then throwing pin point touchdown passes. And the cornerbacks know where your throwing before you even know. And defensive linemen have wide out hands. And they get the most unimaginable interceptions ever. Winning is not the problem. It's the plays that happen. The CPU plays perfect all the time. I get it to the people who voted yes it does create a challenges and it keeps you interested. But the plays the CPU gets an advantage that's damn near tough to eliminate.

Yep. This is why when I was asked about Heisman, I said I didn't like the idea. It's not that I can't win, it just puts me in a crappy mood because the BS the computer pulls infuriates me haha. I almost always find a way to pull it out in the end but it's just a lot of crap most the time. You guys are right, it makes QBs from crap schools look like Joe Montana. If you blitz, they throw it immediately and someone is WIDE open every time, if you sit back, you never get any pressure and he has all day to find a guy wide open or to take off running. Sometimes, you call a man coverage and some guy gets wide open like no one was ever covering him even though you had a 3 man rush. Then, they have a 3 man rush, you have 6 guys blocking and you get sacked a half second after you snap the ball. It's so dumb sometimes. And yeah, you drop 8 passes a game, the cpu catches every pass one handed.
As for accelerators, I'm with twist, I glance at them to see if anyone is ready to commit. If it's more than one name on the list (meaning its something other than instant commit), I close it and just go recruit. I don't pay attention to anything other than that. Occasionally, I'll see the diamond thing meaning I have a recruit that might be interested but those recruits are usually OVERRATED 4 star guys. I had one the other day that was a 4 star free safety with C speed and C+ everything. I was like "uhhh no thanks."

i understand it can be somewhat frustrating when the cpu does some of these superhuman things but it is much funner playing against a competitive cpu (and even losing sometimes) than being able to hammer them all of the time. what i have learned playing the cpu on heisman is you have to be able to take a sack instead of throwing a questionable pass, because we all know if our passes are off just a tad, it will be picked. the cpu will complete 70% of their passes but they still make boneheaded decisions (running on 3rd and 7 and whatnot), so it all equals out.

I wouldn't say it equals out. But it helps. But I'll take it for what is and just play better and stop complaining about it.The ea screw is inevitable.

Yeah, I wouldn't say it evens out, but it does make you have to focus more. I agree that I don't like to just hammer on teams either, but some of this stuff is crazy ridiculous.
Take my game last night.
I played Texas A&M, they have a losing record, I think....maybe around .500. I'm playing them at home in OkState and at half time the A&M QB is 15 of 17 for 333yrds and 2 TDs. WHAT!!!!!!!! ARE YOU F*@$ING KIDDING ME!!! I believe he finished the game 20 of 28 for over 400yrds.
I did go on to win the game, but come on man.

oh yeah, i believe that, but you still won the game.. what idiotic thing did the cpu do? it's always something.. it's tough to lose a game when you throw for that kind of percentage.. Let me guess, he tried a fake punt on like 4th and 8 or something or called a draw on 3rd and 11..
Have you guys tried adjusting the sliders so it gives a more realistic gameplay.. what i mean adjusting the sliders, i mean making it much harder for the cpu to pass but easier to run and it harder for us to do everything on offense except blocking.. you would also turn down the ints and stuff like that.. there are threads out there that give very good ideas on sliders, we should check into it..

Sorry bout the holdup guys, yesterday was crazy busy..
Newly ranked Pitt traveled to tough South Florida.. In what was supposed to be a close game quickly turned into a rout by the Panthers.. Pitt dominated on both sides of the ball, if it wasnt for a South Florida SS picking up a fumble and acting like Adrian Peterson (except, not fumbling) and rumbling through numerous arm tackles for a long touchdown, the Bulls would have been shut out.. Pitt's QB was again tremendous, completing nearly every pass and for the second straight game passing for 3TD'S and zero picks. The Pitt running game was also extremely efficient, running for close to 40 times for around 175yds. If the Panthers can play like this the rest of the year, we should be playing in January. Hopefully some of Pitt's newly added recruits were able to watch the 45-7 drubbing.. We've made up some room in the recruiting department but still have a long way to go..

You would rather beat the cpu 40-3 all the time over competitive games

No but I would rather beat the computer 40-3 over losing because my team drops 20 passes on third down or in the end zone. lol
