The 'Photo Game Face' feature allows you to create realistic in-game versions of yourself (or your friends!) to use in EA Sports games such as Tiger Woods PGA, Facebreaker, and Fight Night Round 4.

The Photo Game Face widget is available from the EASPORTS.com website. To use the EA SPORTS.com website and download your Photo Game Face to your game, you will need an EA Account that is linked to your XBox Live or PSN account.

If you do not have an EA Account, you can create one right from the EA SPORTS.com website. For instructions on linking an XBox Live or PSN account to your EA Account, click here:http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=22552

Installing the Photo Game Face widget on your EA SPORTS account

1. Go to EA SPORTS.com and sign in with the EA Account linked to your XBox Live or PSN account.
2. Click on 'My EA SPORTS World.'
3. Click on the 'Add Widgets' button on the upper right-hand corner (above the 'News' section).

4. Scroll down until you find the 'Photo Game Face' widget window.
5. Click on the blue 'Add' button on the upper right-hand corner of the window.

6. Scroll back up and click on the 'Complete' button to install the widget on your account.
7. Go back to your 'My EA SPORTS World' page.
8. The Photo Game Face widget should now appear on your 'My EA SPORTS World' page.

Using the Photo Game Face widget

1. If this is your first time using the widget, click on the 'Upload New Photo Face' button.
For any subsequent visits, you will need to navigate to an empty Photo Face slot for the 'Upload' button to appear.
2. Once you click on the 'Upload' button, a pop-up window should appear.
3. Click 'Next' to navigate away from the 'Welcome' screen.
4. Click 'Next' again to navigate away from the 'Tutorial' screen.
5. Click on the 'Browse' button to upload a picture from your Hard Drive.
6. A Front View picture is required, but we also recommend you to upload a Side View picture for a more accurate 3D rendering.
7. Click 'Next' to upload your pictures.
8. You should now use the 'Edit Image' feature to frame your face correctly into the Photo Game Face tool.
You can zoom and rotate the picture for a better fit.

9. Click 'Next' to adjust the brightness and contrast of you picture. A brighter picture will make it easier for the Photo Game Face tool to pick up your features.
10. Click 'Next' to name and 'Save' your image.

Your newly created image should now appear on one of the slots in your Photo Game Face widget. When you go to any of the games that support Photo Game Face, you should be able to download your Photo Game Face when you access the Create a Player feature.

Be sure to log in with the XBox Live or PSN account associated with the Photo Game Face you wish to download.

Also, remember that you can usually make further tweaks to your Photo Game face while in-game.

What are some tips on how to take good pictures that will work with the EA SPORTS Photo Game Face feature?

There are several tips you can keep in mind in order to take a good picture that will yield the best render for the Photo Game Face feature.

First, make sure you use a 'Medium Close-Up' of your face. A Medium Close-Up is generally a shot from your sholders and upward. A Medium Close-Up wil give you enough space to tweak the image in EA SPORTS World later.

Second, try to set the picture against a light background. Your background doesn't have to be white, or all white, or all the same color. The Photo Game Face widget should be able to differentiate background elements if the colors in the background are similar enough. Also, be sure to use a background that is light enough to be separated from your face (light beige, blue, or green on walls should work fine).

Light up your face! The Photo Game Face widget will pick up your features better if there is plenty of light in your picture.Keep in mind, however, that too much light might also result in unrealistic results. You have to be sure to strike the right balance of lights and darks. Instead of just pointing as much light to your face as possible, you might want to try to bounce the light from a wall to your face. For example, if you have a directional lamp, set the lamp near you, but instead of pointing the light directly at you, point the light at the wall. The light should bounce from the wall and generate a softer light around your features.

Try to ask a friend to take your picture instead of holding the camera yourself. You might also want to try to set the camera on a tripod, table, or desk and using a timer. Trying to keep your camera about 3 feet away from your face should yield the best results.
