Such harsh words. Us PC guys will get something much better than BC1, BC2 and 1943. I wished they announced it already though.

well, the reason most of the PC gamers are pissed, is because its been sooo long since dice/ea has released a game worth a crap....its been what 4 years since bf2? and what have we got since...bf2 lazer tag (2142)...
thats it....once ea bought out dice, dice lost its edge...its become another cog in the commercial machine..
releasing crap for the kiddie consoles, because they know PC gamers are older, and smarter to spend 50 bucks on a hot steaming pile....consoles, on the other hand, these kids see eye candy and glitter and will beg mommy and daddy until they get it...plain and simple...
look at the new bf2 patch...a year too late, and look at the map they gave us for the wait...a dressed up sf map...that sucks...its all hot air....I honestly dont expect much from 1943...itll sell because of the kids, but dont expect too much...it wont have the following that bf2 had, but Im not sure dice is capable of making diamonds anymore...once they sold out, they lost thier way...and since then, activision is stealing all thier thunder...

If you don't like the game it doesn't mean that no one likes it.
And about the kids-consoles. Most of the owners of consoles are bettween 25-35 years old, Everyone who doesn't lie to them selfs know that and Sibben confirmed that, too.

If a lifeless nerd like you don't like the game, ok, we don't need an agressive, disturbed person on the net.
And by the way, we(consoles) got quite a few patches to patch the game up, and the things wich they didn't patch will be fixed in a sequel. If we wouldn't request fixes i doubt there would be a sequel.
We sure don't request as much as PC gamers do, but thats mainly because we have jobs unlike quite a few of PC gamers.

You know, this is a forum about the BF1943. It's made to bring more people closer to the battlefield franchise, and if you don't like this game, just leave. Simple as that.

I can wait until September, although I do wish it was coming out sooner. Also - I was a huge fan of BF1942, played in the WaW:BFE Tourny and always loved it, plain vanialla rocked. However FH was good too I hope 1943 has some good modding tools. Also, I hope the player count is boosted to at least 32 and give us bread and butter PC gamers 1 or 2 extra maps for 'ol times sake. I would pay an extra 15 for all that ($30)

I will say, the newer BF games, have not lived up to the original, especially BF2 w/ FH mod, not having proper physics in a game is just silly, so I am happy to see bombs falling as they should in 1943 (Way to re-add gravity!!)

So here we go, a few more months, and I cant wait to be dogfighting once again, its what I have missed most in the new BF games and what I loved so much in 1942. Please release a demo so we can bug test if for you guys too.Oh yes and PLEASE RELEASE ON STEAM thats the only place I will buy this game most likely, its just to easy that way!

Oh yes, and 2 cents. Modern marketing should include your customers - e.g. you should be placing us "in" the process of development for this game. Give us more info and stop keeping secrets. In todays day and age, we demand information immediatly, theres no sense in holding back - we would rather "see" and "read" what you have polished or not than be left int he dark. So why not give us some more info - maybe a dedicated PC 1943 forum w/ more regular updates from devs.

Thanks

Ok, I can understand it taking a bit longer for the PC version. It has to be designed to work on a variety of hardware, and software environments, rather than identical consoles. They have to think of what lamers may do to try and cheat and head it off. They have to try to anticipate what hacks employees of PB will create to force them to use their crap! And on top of that, it has to be decent enough to stand up to real gamers on the PC. Consoles are great for Racers or 3rd person games. But until someone comes out with a keyboard and mouse for consoles, they will never be able to handle a decent FPS.

I'm willing to wait the extra time for a decent game. I just ask that the ranking system is ok, the awards are done logically...you know if someone registers 50+ knife kills in one round...they are obviously on a knife only server! Those little things that would have stopped so much of the crap in 2142 with guys making it to #1 in a few hours.

As much as I would love either 1943 or BC to be what we think of as "BF3", the fact is that coming out with a game thats better then the previous one is obviously damn hard. The trailers and interviews I've seen so far are not close to the the "leap" between 1942 and BF2. 1943 has stunning graphics yes - but that alone does not make a game better.

Its not unlike most other creative projects, you lose the original design team, thought leaders etc. New folks try to put their own "thumbprints "on the piece - somehow the original "magic" is lost in collaboration, compromises , buisness priorities , and new technology - they get all swirled together and justify with their own biased market assumptions and the new game ends up being a yawn.....

Like it or not , the console is the primary gaming platform- and will remain the design target until a uniform portable platform is achieved for PC and I dont see that anytime soon. Its too irresistible to ignore the low cost of dev on Consoles compared to PCs - not to mention that their PC IP is stolen , downloaded from Pirate bay etc.

I think over time somebody will come along with a new PC gaming FPS -team based franchise like BF2 thats simply kicks butt; 128 players, strong team management, huge detailed dynamic maps that change in game , modifiable, customizable images ( faces on players ) and new thing we havent thought of yet that will suck us in for hours upon hours

But this is not it - the "BF3 we thought would come - simply wont. Its sad , but its time to get over it. Hopefully somebody out there is watching and sees an opening. A window to revenue has been opened up , handed over to someone else.

And we're all waiting with money in our hand....... for somebody to take it from us - gladly

Ranger pretty much hit on the head, except the part about Activision as both CoD4 and WaW are apiece of crap with more hackers than there are stars in the sky!

I am having second thoughts about 1943 , I was looking at 1943 thinking I will buy that game no matter what , just because its a new game from DICE , ( the only FPS developer I buy from ) and I really like their style of games and 1943 is going to be very cheap £5-£15 something like that.

And because I am a PC gamer I was going to buy 1943 for the PC , and they has always been a few things with 1943 I did not like the sound of , but though , well I will still buy it just because its a cheap game and its not meant to be a full game , some of the things I don't like the sound of is regenerating health , this I'm 100% against but thought I would still buy the game and see how it works , then there is the ammo that lasts forever , I'm also 100% against this but still thought I would see how it goes , last thing that's been bothering me is 12 VS 12 , and because I come from a PC Battlefiled background , 64 players has always been the norm , now am not expecting 64 players on the PC in 1943 but at least 40 players would be about right , playing against 12 players has never been my style , I won't even join a server on the PC unless it has 20 VS 20 , making it a very good battle , now I know in 1943 you can spawn on the front line so you don't need to trek miles to get to the battle , but I think I have been kidding myself thinking it will be OK with 12 VS 12 , yes it will be something new to me and something fresh for about 2-3 days , but I know am just going to get soooooooooooo bored fighting only 12 other people that I'm not going to have much fun playing 1943 at all , and after all Bad Company 2 is on its way , so I could always hold out for a few months and get I game that's more my style anyway.

Now I know we have not heard much in the way of info for the PC 1943 multiplayer wise , so I think it will be worth it if I just wait untill I hear more about the player count on the PC , if its atleast 20 players per side I will take everything back and buy 1943 , if its anything less than 20 players per side I know I will only be wasting my money as it won't keep my happy for long , ( few days tops ) , and with BC2 around the corner coming out early next year I would then have a game I would like.

I know 1943 is a budget game and I'm used to nothig less than 64 players , but I know 1943 won't have 64 players and I'm not even hoping for 64 players , but 40 players is the very least I will settle for before I pay good money for the game , I know its not much money , but its my money none the less , other wise its like console gamers buying a game that only has 1 gun in the whole game = fun at first but get old very very fast indead.

My current status , waiting to hear about PC player count with my finggers crossed

EA made there bed now they have to lay in it. Had they not made countless crap patches through out all the games? Tried capitalizing on retarded expansion packs most not working with at ton of problems not worth 5 bucks, but EA pushed some as much as 50$ special forces for bf2, if I remember right. And they want to be treated as if they have done nothing wrong screw them! They didn’t mind screwing there customers with bf2 patch 1.3 when servers crashed for 3 months straight. They didn’t mind screwing up bf2142 so bad that the player count as drop at and staggering rate. They didn’t mind patching 1942 for months when there were known bugs, glitches and cheats everywhere.

And they want me to give the pity HELL NO! They made there bed, they have to lay in it. The sad part of this is GORDON just they guy they are throwing out to the sharks. As far as EA the company they have shafted PC players for years and have earned every negative remark! Case in point look, at bf2/2142, terrible patching, terrible service, and years of none communication…

you are a complete idiot..the only difference is while your busting your butt all day working in the hot sun, some of us have an education, and can check the forums during the day in our airconditioned offices. people like me tell people like you what to do lol...

as far as consolers, well look at the poll right here in thier forums, and youll notice that pc gamers passed the consoles by more than 2-1. because your ignorant, or cant afford a good computer, and have to buy some dressed up nintendo to play on is not our fault. go spend some time reading on how to build one, do so, then give your opinion...yes, my daughter has your childish consoles, but since i can use more than 10 or so lowsy buttons at a time, I prefer to use a computer, which allows me drastically more control...
better get goin,...I hear your dig dug game callin...

just cuz the pc cost more doesnt make it better, at least having a 360 i dont have to pgrade something every year to keep up with date. im not saying which one is better because thats all up to preference.

When you have the power of 4 or 5 consoles there isn't any need to upgrade. The fact of the matter is hands down PC get entirely superior graphics.

Eh, I've upgraded my PC once in the 5 years I've had it. The upgrade was less then what most 360 gamers pay to get a new controller with a keypad attachment. My 360 though, has ben repaired 4 times in the year and half I've owned it. I'll almost always buy on PC and just use a controller if I like. Even BurnoutP I bought on PC. Playing the game in HD (not the fake upscaling consoles use) didn't cost me anything in upgrades. I even got it for less then the current console versions.

Good neither do I, no need to update when my 1 gig card runs everything fine. How about you do you have the option of upgrading... Guess not. Most PC's don't upgraded every year, you got to love myths.

myths, i mean upgrade to stay with the new tech...... i can always upgrade i hav a warranty from bestbuy, i can return it when ever i want. upgraded from ps2 to 360 when it came out. dont get me wrong pc has better graphics but im happy with a console and most gamers are on consoles now, EA is trying to please console gamers for that reason imo. more people is more sales.
