True Otto, but riddle me this...why did Greg author a poll for a feature that he had no intention of rolling out with the initial realease? Was looking to see if he could turn the crew that is working on turned base loose if there was little interest? I guess that is a valid reason, but I think all the PC sim players may have taken the poll in a different light (I know I did).

I certainly think that the results of this poll should indicate that turn based multiplayer is a must. Sure others will play the game as is, but the hardcore pc golf sim players out there will desperately be waiting for turn based. I'm not sure, but I may wait until the bells and whistles that are important to me (grass blades, turn based, private tourneys, CA, etc) are implimented.

I don't mind testing the game, and frankly I appreciate Greg's statement. Afterall, it is the closest I have seen here to the type of disclosure I and others have been asking for of late. It is just a little dissapointing IMO. Guess sometimes the truth DOES hurt.

You know in some ways I can see some reasoning behind simaltaneous play. I know some folks prefer fast quick games rather than slower, strategic and chat filled games.

What I can't understand is why those simaltaneous play folks as well as EA feel not having alternate shot games, stableford, match play, skins, skill, four ball games etc., is good for TWO and an unecessary feature and/or an afterthought.

Good luck to EA with the project. No doubt the game will sell to the 'TW' crowd, but not me I'm afraid.

no daz theres no way. Most of the tw community would rather have turn based multiplayer games too.

if there is no turn based play, and with different game modes besides stroke, like match play etc.. i would have to reconsider buying it. and ur right doesn't seem like a multiplayer at all then.

I enjoy the arcs and the little name tags, seeing other people on the course but if i have to wait and see a full sized avatar of 1-3 other people golfing thats pretty much the same as watching computer AI golfers golf in career mode, i don't really need it al that bad, i like to watch tv or listen to music while i golf and golf at my pace.

for as much slag as gets heaved on EA over this MP turn based issue i want them to know i enjoy thier game just as it is

I'm sure there are many that like the current MP method used in TWO, but personally I can't see why EA cannot offer players the option of playing either turned-based or simultaneous.

Allowing turn-based MP also opens the door to team based modes of play, such as alt-shot or scramble.

I don`t see many people using the MP option at all.

One should ask what the problem is?

I quite like MP, but it is too awkward to setup a game.
You`ll never end up with with four player, one will always mess it up.

Gotta have TB MP, but if all we will see are little icons then there is no need for TB. It needs to be where you see another golfing figure taking a shot, not a framed picture.

the way it is set up we don't have much choice...my friends and i like playing winds, they are much better players than myself so i like to watch their shots and adjust my line by theirs, the way this beta is going, that will be impossible until turn based mp is implemented into the game... also i play very little stroke play, i like alternating shot and scrambles, as does a lot of my club mates, we play for fun after all it is a GAME !... oh we also make a couple of different avatars just for kicks, some we try to see who can be ugliest. it is all done for laughs. in this fast paced world and stressful times laughing is good!!!
