I love the people who want to get views and comments on their video, but whenever they post their stuff, they don't comment anyone else's stuff. I'm not going to give names, but I see a lot of people lurking the forums that are only commenting in their own threads. If you're going to take the time out to write thank you to everyone that comments in your thread, why not comment in some of the other threads that you see. If everyone only comments on their own thread, nobody's videos will ever get noticed.

TaCoMaN1337 (9:45:43 PM): i think om done filming for the full length, i just need a banger and some scenery/random shots
sk8trgoes (9:46:32 PM): okay cool....after seeing southcity's part i am depressed about what i have right now lol

I'm glad someone said it. Magic, I agree wholeheartedly.

I've been trying to progress my skating for some time now...but it seems with each video I have put out, it never gets seen or commented on. I will be the first to admit...my filming sucked, but ChasmJ and islandvibez have been the only ones to even tell me what was wrong and what needed to be worked on.

I really wish people in the community would take more time to comment on others work. (I am guilty of this as well, so I don't want it to come across as finger pointing.) I'm going to make more of an effort to comment on videos because I know the feeling of trying real hard and having it go unnoticed.

Totally agree Magic.

I've been checking back on the forum obsessively hoping someone will comment on my montage that I spent all night doing, as it will no doubt motivate me to make more. One comment from Ogee Kush, on my first ever clip, to use less slow mo and I was hard at making another clip, remaining conscious of just that.

The comments don't have to be an essay, sometimes just acknowledgement is enough to validate your efforts, even if negative.

Unfortunately I introduced myself to the forum with two single line clips, which while I received good advice from some of the more experienced forum loiterers, I may have shot myself in the foot by not posting longer videos. A newbie error which I'm now trying to move on from.

Good advice which I have been adhering to is to comment on as much as I can so hopefully karma will bless me in return. Trying to make my comments genuine too of course. No one likes a spammer.

What was that quote? "Wise men speak when they have something to say, Fools when they have to say something."

Got to agree.

Wish more people with give me crits. The last short I did had two lines in that took me longer to get than I care to admit, but only got 1 comment after a pitty bump.

Well put, Magic.

your post is totaly right magic, i know my first vid and i put like 3 whole days in it and it was completly ignored or the replys where very bad like '' you suc'' or ''do you call that realistic?'' now it's completly gone, there is even a slight sympathetic for casual gamers who make the most unthinkable combos

Love the idea Magic. And I watch, and comment on as many video's as I can, but still don't get many comments, or many useful comments on teh video's that I upload. It's almost as if, if you don't have Hoodlum, or Pandemic, or some other big named/ cool team your stuff goes straight to page 5.............It's frustrating. BUT what I find more frustrating is you do a cool trick, like a 360 switch shove it down a huge flight of stairs, get told it's unrealistic, which it is, but then you see someone do a similar trick down the same stairs, but they are on one of the "cool" teams, and that trick is the bomb....did that make sense?
