I bought it hours ago and I didn't know anything about problems with the game. And I still haven't been able to play it. It ALWAYS freeze when asks me to press Start Button.

I'm very dissapointed.

Is it just me or does this seems a little long for Ea admin to be absolutely ignoring this thread (considering it was one of the 2 threads I was directed to when I complained to EA support directly).
I guess this probably means they have decided to just dump the whole ":Risk;Factions is not working properly problem" oh hell we pretty much made all the money we're gonna make of this game so let's just ignore all our customers and pump out the next games so we can sell them too.
How can they be allowed to keep selling this product as is???
Should we be complaining to xbox live or something, I don't think I have ever had problems with xbox live games until risk factions, what if all new release xbox live games become of this low standard, with major game play bugs and no follow up patches to fix them...
That would be unacceptable so why is this?

try this:

1. log off
2. start the game
3. log in when it asks you or when you're in the menu

my friend gets the same freezing and that helps. i have the "auto log into live" on xbox startup option selected and i never get this freeze.

I wrote directly to Xbox Support about the issues only to receive this response this morning:

As the game in question(Risk Factions) is a third party game we have no control over if a game gets patched or not. All i can advise is to keep an eye on the EA forum link you have given me and wait for a response from the EA team.

Add another one to the pile of people that have the bug where the game freezes before you even have a chance to play it.

Is there anyone actually working on this game or has it been out long enough that no-one involved wants to spend the money on fixing it?

I just started playing the demo, and found the "randomness" of the rolls didn't seem so random. I thought I'd come online to forums to see if I was just crazy or if the game wasn't designed well. At any rate, I happened to stumble upon this forum. I have to say thanks to everyone on here. I've decided NOT to purchase this game because of the complete lack of help from EA on the freezing issue you've all experienced. While I never had this problem happen, I'm not willing to take the chance, even if the game is on sale this week for 400 points.

If someone from EA does read this forum, I hope they realize they LOST a sale because of their lack of helping these forum members.

I just bought this as part of the deal of the week for 400 pts and the game is consistently freezing right at the title screen for me as well. I just wanted to add my voice for support. It's hard to fathom that a publisher as large as EA has let something this major go unresolved for so long.
