i really play alot on my 360 but this is the first game where online gaming doesn't work at all out of the box. i can't connect to a single online match with real players. for 15 minutes now searching for opponent and nothing happens ;(
online gaming was the one reason i bought that game, without even having the opportunity to play the demo. it was just not available on the market... *sad*

It is possible that you have a corrupt file on your system. I have included the following FAQs that contain instructions on clearing out your cache/Game Data.

One of these FAQs mention deleting Saved data/Saved games, but I would only recommend this as a last resort as once the information has been deleted from the console, it is not possible to retrieve. There are times the saved game data may become corrupt, but I would like you to attempt all the other steps before this final step.

Please post back if this does not resolve your issue.

Having the same problem. Nothing happends when i try to play in the online arena.
The game just keeps looking for an opponent. Think i've spent about 2 hours looking for an opponent, but no luck(was reading a book while waiting).

I've tried clearing the cache. But seems impossible for me to play the online arena.

catzo are you also from the EU? maybe also from Germany? my friend next door also bought it and he has the same problem.
@jaga: thanks for trying to help, checked those points and can say that the problem still exists after resetting router, modem etc. my guess would be that somehow the EU servers aren't fine with us. also my router doesn't blink alot while searching for opponents, it just sends rarely some packets out. really weired. all other ea games work fine, also other non-ea games like gears3 or halo.

Yeah i'm from the EU, but Norway.
And from what you are saying we seem to be having the same problems. Also tried all the modem, router etc. But nothing seem to help. I can also get any other game to work online. And NAT is 100% open.

Same problem here. I'm from Germany. The game searches for opponents for minutes but cannot find a game. Please make this game run!

Same problem here in Ireland. Every other game I have works perfectly online. I can play Fifa 12 just fine online.

With NBA Jam On Fire it just sits there searching for an opponent but no matter how long I wait it never finds anyone.

This is a huge part of the game that simply does not work!

Same problem here. I live in Germany, every other online game works just fine (SSF4, Fifa, Borderlands). The troubleshooting tipps u posted also dont work for me. EA, please fix it. I hate being limited to play offline : (

Ok, back to topic: I am in Germany and am experiencing exactly the same issues as all of you here.
Trying to connect to a game (XBOX360 | 24/7) and nothing happens (for hours).
ALL other games are working totally fine!
I tried all steps mentioned in the troubleshooting guide except deleting savegame files - is there no other workaround?
EA, please keep us posted about this and let us know if this is really an issue we can solve or that must be done by you guys.

Same problems as everybody here. I live in Holland, tried the steps in the guide, restarted my modem a couple of times and I still can't connect.


The online part was the one I was looking forward to the most, so I'm expecting EA to fix this problem ASAP.

Some feedback would also be nice!

My situation is slightly different! I actually cant even connect online, I dont even get to the online lobby, its fails when connecting to EA servers, I never get to search for players. It says EA SERVERS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME

I'm having no problems with Xbox Live, that works fine, my internet is fine Im connected and I can play any of my other games online, just had a game of Rage road rage mode.

Its the NBA JAm OFE game, cannot connect, EA please fix this or at least tell us whats wrong! I payed for this, I'd like to actually be able to use it.

Having the exact same problem in Scotland since yesterday, not had one game online.

No matter how long I leave it searching for players it just won't find anyone yet it says there are 1255 Jammers online now.

Seems all European players have no access to the online matches, surely the problem is with the servers and not at our end ?

when i try to play Online Arena it just keeps on searching for an opponent, and never actually finds one... despite the fact that around 1000-1200 'Jammers' are apparently 'Online'

i'm sure (or hope rather) EA will soon fix this... i am really dissapointed, that such a broken online component was actually released

someone was asking about the 'Can't connect to EA servers' problem:

when servers are full (lately happens a lot becouse of battlefield 3 beta), you can't play online in all games from EA (Battlefield, NHL3on3Arcade, etc)... all you can really do is wait...

This issue seems to be amazingly common.
