Personally I've had only 2 aces in the last couple hundred rounds or so....0 double eagles
with the new settings I can't see how you could get any double eagles without a 400yd driver in the bag?

I know I heard devs say the game was updated to be more realistic...OK great, but then you must make the new achievements realistically in line with the new settings.
I can barely get 1 eagle per 2-3 rounds on courses like Emerald dragon and Predator....let alone a friggin double eagle?!?!

If I knew how hard/realistic these new settings would be, I would've finished at least 86-90% of these courses when I first joined TWO. Even still, 100% completion is a dream.

Before all the changes EA made to shorten the driver distance, it was possible to at least get within pitching distance on a majority of the Par 5 holes. Then it was possible to get the 15 double eagles.

Both are equally difficult. In 2,357 rounds played --- 55 double eagles and 36 hole in ones. But---now that the whole club distance revamp double eagles are extremely hard to come by for sure.

Coke did say that with the change in club distances/fairway settings post TW12 that they'ld be looking at toning down some of the achievements. Hasn't happened yet and don't expect it to. Joined up thinking seems to be a bit limited in the TWO dev team. Not understanding the implications of design choices they make is a common theme.

Just think of the TW12 owners that aren't TWO subscribers - once their 3 months free runs out then a significant number of course and career objectives will be impossible due to being forced to use standard clubs adn balls. And they paid $40 for that, they're not even free players.

With the exception of Wolf Creek in which the 5th hole Gold Tees you can reach the green in 1, for all the other courses 15 double eagles is by far the hardest.

Yup....I have 8 double eagles and 5-6 are on Wolf Creek.
The other 2-3 are on Bay Hill??? Sawgrass??? I can't remember, It's where the fairway curves around the lake.
That was on the old settings though....no doubles on new settings.

They will NOT change it !!! EA wants to Lead You On to KEEP You Playing !!! Same ol Song and Dance !!!!

Also 350 yard drives are now very difficult.

As somebody pointed out Wolf Creek hole 5 is a place where double eagles are possible.

I'm in the process of trying to get 100% on courses, and some courses it's still possible to come very close with your second drive from the fairway.

A prime example of this is Hole 2 on Highlands, I always manage to just roll past the hole by a foot or so there. All I need to do is get the direction spot on.

I'm also looking around for possible double eagles elsewhere, they are makeable on some courses. But I know for a fact there is some where it is going to be absolutely impossible (Emerald Dragon)

Also it would be good to get the objectives changed sometime soon, no way do I fancy getting 15 on each of the courses where it's still possible.

I use R9 driver & Nuke ball by the way.

What's more impossible than any of that is getting this sorry game too load more than 2 days in a row without constant server disconnects !!! That should be an achievement award !!!!!! this game has gone too $#!+ !!!!!

5 Aces is possible on all courses off the front tees, just as in real golf an amount of luck is requried.
However 15 DE's is absolutely impossible. I have played 50 rounds on every course except for Predator for a total of 1650 rounds and have a total of 14 DE's (if you exclude Wolf and Bay). To get the 300 DE's across all 20 courses will therefore require 30000 rounds EXCEPT I cannot reach half the Par 4's off the black tees at Emerald with 2 drivers, so how in hell am I to get the DE's.
EA giveth and EA taketh away. It puts these wonderful bonuses for Course Champion and then reduces club distances, changes the rough, changes the green speeds, puts holes on ski slopes on the green. For course champion on Emerald, it may as well make the bonus having your avatar in TW13 or TW14 or 15 .....

They should drop it to only needing 1 DE or Ace. From the gold tees and gale force wind you might have a shot at getting a DE on most courses.

if you set conditions to lightning with gale force winds and some luck, 15 DEs is possible at several courses. Pebble Beach, * Andrews, Bay Hill, and as previously stated Wolf Creek are all doable. Playing Par 5 only with settings juiced and catching the perfect wind at the exact perfect time it's possible.

In the past few weeks I've had 5 Aces (4 online and unfortunately 1 offline), I've also had an eagle on a par 4 hole hitting putting the ball in from well back on the fairway. So in theory it is still possible to get double eagles on some courses. Luck and some skill is needed to accomplish the feat.

In short is not easy but it is possible, at least on some courses.
